the thread about nothing...

I have never understood how someone doesn’t know how to throw. I am fortunate I grew up in a place where kids played every sport year round.

Obviously it’s not really a big deal, but when I see someone can’t throw I feel like they’re deficient 😄
I can understand not being able to throw a baseball or football, its the people that can’t fix their body to run that gets me.

Maaaaaaan. I work so much at my current job. Like 55-60 hours a week. I can’t explain in words how upset I’d be if I was applying for other jobs and having to do MULTIPLE interview rounds. I simply do not have even 1 hour to be wasting, let alone multiple hours on multiple days and months end, only to be told “thanks but we’re going a different direction.”

These employers expect people to sacrifice time away from family or other important obligations just to keep answering stupid rounds of questions like “if you were a worm, how would you manage a stressful work situation?”

Hell to the nawww naw naw.

The corporate world is insane to me. I’m not cut out for that life. They treat everyone like their time is worthless and they act like everyone is a 👶🏻 the way they micro manage

I’ve had some pretty **** jobs though, the older I get the smaller the company.

I work for this dude now who’s real chill, co worker is having a baby and all his friends live super far away. Boss felt bad and said “you want a party for your baby” he said a pool party

So a bunch of construction dudes are eating bbq and swimming in the owners pool.

The on-site assessments/projects they force candidates do is so sleazy. They’re making people that don’t work for the company give them free labor/ideas.

That’s why I just went the temp agency route for the last decade and when I had two jobs I was flipping burgers
And hell I was giving them hell as well
I would just call up the temp place and if they didn’t have anything available I just simply would go
I’m not coming to fill out no paper work
We should be able to do that over the phone

My heart goes out to folks re entering the job search after maybe being laid off from a job they worked more than a decade

My job I had in the medical field was the last job I dressed up and went to interviews for
Didn’t have a job for a whole year damn near
Had me driving to other counties just to not get hired
