the thread about nothing...

Welp I called the police to ask about this bs letter and the person on the phone wasn't able to find/provide me any more information.
She said to either call back tomorrow and ask for the commissioner or come to the police station in person tomorrow morning.

Dodgers vs Astros fan fight yesterday

One of my really smart yet destructive acquaintances was saying back in September or October that when things get back to normal, social skills will have eroded so much **** like the above would be bound to normal occurrences, more so than previously, for a while.

I pretty much eye rolled him at the time. But man...he was probably right.

The video of the guy who opened fire on the lady who "cut him off". Lady had 2 kids in the back seat. And I'm sure the shooter saw the kids because he literally gets out the car and walks past the back seats to get to the driver side window.

The story of the lady in Texas who got shot by an off duty texas ranger. Wtf is going on man.

was this the one where the kid died? I can't wait for that sucker to get arrested. I mean it makes me sick and mad just like the george floyd incident. it's not often that I get this mad over news but seeing innocent people killed over some foolishness and arrogance makes my blood boil.

Nah, the shooter hit the driver in the shoulder and driver pulled off.

Saw it on reddit.

Not sure I'm familiar with the one you're referencing.

for the typical person, it does hold true. but what about someone with a different mindset from the get-go? I know this can be another discussion of nature versus nurture. while nurture has some bearing for most people on how one should behave, there are those few exceptions that just behave differently. I just googled up a movie I remembered which I watched several years ago regarding this. it's called STOKER. for people who loves psychological thriller, this might peek your interest.
Yes if we're talking about some pathology it could be different
Esther was a great movie

I had to go to a town that's notorious for pulling people over. Saw a cop on a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction, seemed like he looked me dead in my eyes and turned his lights on. My heart dropped. As he proceeded to do a uturn, I had mad anxiety, just knowing I was about to get a ticket. I was in the turn lane and he never got over... flew right past me to pull over someone else. Took me like 15 minutes for my blood pressure to go back down.

Is it possible they were fake cops ? I heard several stories about people using uniforms to take advantage on people. Plus you already had problems before for weed if I'm correct, so might this weed problem have a link with this one ? Strange...And about the signature problem you could claim every delivery man could have your signature if you sign what you buy on the internet, so it's not necessary a proof. Like someone finding official papers in a bag you throw away.

EDIT

One time I told this girl how much I paid for pair of sneakers (UNC OW 1's) and she never spoke to me again.
I know exactly what it is, a lot of women don't want men with passions, they want men to be available for her, and for some women they even want men's money for her too
By spending that money on sneakers she must have thinking of being with you and being unable to visit other places because of this passion

Good / Bad is extremely conditional and subjective.
In NTextraordinary situations yes, but in a whole. We know right from wrong, good from bad. You know you’re not supposed to cheat on your wife, you know you’re not supposed to spit on someone, you know you’re not supposed treat anyone anyway you wouldn’t want someone treat your mother, you know you’re not supposed to kill someone over a religion whose first rule is don’t kill anyone, but folks do it anyway and will brag about it. ****** human beings. How hard is it to do better?

IMO, of course.

It's still incredible to live in a world where people have to fear the police instead of just respecting them, as we're supposed to fear only criminals...And I don't know if it would get better one day as for years people were saying all problems of police's victims were due to their attitude, but as some people tried to be as nice and respectful as possible, this idea is not valuable

So i guess that is why I asked about this not being a statement saying good people dont do things that are wrong.

I know people who I would consider good that cheat on their spouse. I know people who are emotionally unstable enough to treat people worse than what they should on an given occasion.

I'm 100 percent with you on the if you know better, you gotta do better tip. Just not sure the fact that you arent always doing better or striving to do better equates to you being a bad person. Weak person, sure. Bad? Jury's out, I guess.

Sometimes people act good for bad reasons like the ones who give money to homeless recording it for YouTube, acting bad for good reasons, killing or being killed in some cases etc.
The intention could be good or bad, but the action is not necessary as the intention. You could have the better intentions and doing the worst things. Or having bad intentions but finally do it good. When the action is good, does it mean it was the objective at the beginning ? This action is maybe the result of others. But maybe at the beginning it was something different...

For example, someone stealing a car, there's a baby in it, he lets the baby somewhere people would find it real quick, it's a good action, but he didn't plan this and he did steal a car. But this good action wouldn't have been possible without the bad one. And the owner of the car didn't steal anything but letting a baby in a car solo is rather a bad action. And here his bad action leads to another one then to a good one. No rules

Yes, some bad actions don't mean you're a bad person, but sometimes some people are not bad for their actions, for nothing concrete in fact, no facts, just a negative attitude, contempt

tr1ll tr1ll

I think you are underrating the amount of "grey area situations" that happen on a daily basis. (Me responding to you referring to good/bad being conditional only in #NTExtreme situations)

I've given food to people who are homeless numerous times. Never recorded myself doing it because I literally don't think about documenting my everyday actions. However when people do record themselves doing something nice for others I don't have a problem with it.

You can log in to any social media site any given day and be exposed to tragedy, death, and evil. Seems off of me to question the intentions of people showing positivity for once. But thats just my opinion.

Something we could mention is sometimes we doing good things for our self estim, so it's rather a bad reason, vanity, but at the end of the day, even if it's not glorious, what remains the most important ? The bad reason or the fact we did something good ? If it is giving food to someone I think the person would be pragmatic and would just observe facts, not thinking about reasons

I used to see two types of videos, the ones who did good actions, recorded it in order to make people do it like themselves, in these videos, it wasn't seemed to be about their ego as they weren't famous or anything, just people. And the other one is the example of the YouTuber which all videos are about buzz. But in fact, even the first one, if it wasn't for him, was thinking about their image, and about "their" I mean people with which he was doing good actions, from the HLM (=projects in France), so it was clearly a good action, and even when he did mention this I didn't feel anything about ego or buzz or anything negative.
