the thread about nothing...

I love the competitive aspect of multiplayer games but I never had any interest in competing in sports. My depth perception is extremely awful so I could never be decent enough to compete in sports anyway. I literally have trouble catching a basketball and have actually gotten a concussion in highschool from one due to missing what should’ve been an easy catch and instead getting hit in the face
LoL. some people are just not meant to play sports that is. personally, I'm very competitive in actual sports. for some reason, sports became more of a driving factor for me. despite my physical limitations and disadvantages, I'm able to develop my basketball game and overcome those in a certain way thru hardwork and perseverance which I wouldn't have achieved if I didn't love the sport too much. my son on the otherhand, didn't have that kind of motivation when it comes to basketball or any team sport. where there is no quit in me, my son would just get bored and move on. my work ethic was extremely high back then like if I could play and practice 8 hours everyday, I would do it even by myself. I even play in my sleep. lol.

in fairness to my son, he would beat the crap out of me in martial arts. that's the area that he excels at.

personally, I'm more of a single player gamer. the reason that I even got into multiplayer gaming was having fun with my friends and it was the first time that it was possible to play with more of them thru lan gaming (pre-internet), internet back then was at it's infancy with the terrible dial up modem setup. dunno how much money we spent just to play together. not really much of an expert on fps gaming but I'm above average. there are times that I'm on top of the leaderboard but on average Im ranking around the top half on team play and overall. what ruined the fun in the multiplayer fps gaming for me is the birth of cheats and toxic players.

I was decent in fighting games like MK and SF although I would never ever be someone like Daigo since I now don't have that time to dedicate most of my life into studying the frame data. it could have been if I was younger and that time that I was beating my friends since I was studying every move there was possible.

my gaming changes from time to time but I have developed a knack for RTS gaming as far as competition goes. Dune 2, Command and Conquer, Red Alert, Warcraft, Starcraft are my main thing. I even played online against players, 1P v 2P with Red Alert and StarCraft. I was that strong but not at the level such as Serral. that guy is also one of the reasons why Starcraft gets updated all the time and practically nerfed the Zerg faction.
Love FPS (mainly the only genre I could play for a long time and the one I found the most immersive as you don't see your character, so basically, it's yourself), and prefer to play solo, as I'm not necessary good, I play for fun, and FPS community is not that good, well, to be fair, it depends, I used to play with sympathetic good players too, but anyway, if you play with nice, but skilled people, you feel like a handicap for them, and if they're cool with you, you don't feel that good  so, if you got to play without being good, be sure to play with - - - - - - - -, so no guilty conscience if you make them lose  Great thing about FPS and playing solo = you could play whenever you want even for some 20 minutes session, not all FPS need you to follow a story or something...Maybe why I'm not a fan of RPG, you got to spend so much time speaking with NPC (boring), collecting stuff (boring again), just give us something to shoot at and we'ld be good :smokin

Speaking of being hit on, there’s this dude at a local clothing store who keeps trying to hit on me :smh::lol:
I’m a regular customer there because it’s the only store that carries Emporio Armani and isn’t 2 hours away from me but that employee just keeps getting more flagrant with it.
This Saturday I was checking out some pants there and he walked up behind me and then said “mmmm I’d love to see you in those pants” in a kind of whispery voice :lol:
Normally I just take his remarks as a nice compliment but that was really uncomfortable
Yay. don't want to sound homophobic but that is creepy. for me though, it would be different if it was a hot attractive lady saying that to me. I might have lost it there and start ripping clothes off.
I'm fine hanging around gay people but I'm always guarded now. and they can't use that sexist gay card whenever I get into a disagreement with someone like them since I have more than enough reason that would make them feel embarrassed about their kind. worst experience ever was getting molested by someone like them and it's not something that they could parade around and use a feather in their cap.

🥺 So beautiful

I know a train when i see one...

I understand you way too well, sometimes when we're luckily confronted to homosexuality as straight men it could be a compliment, but it got to check a lot of boxes.
Which means the guy have to not be too old, he's got to be handsome from a straight point of view, and anyway you have to feel no lust vibe in him because that's disgusting to imagine a man wanting to - - - - you  so it's complicated  I remember years ago a man told me I was "beautiful", but I didn't appreciate it at all, I found him even before that kind of libidinous, so I acted like I didn't understand repeating what he said differently : " oh yes it's a beautiful weather today " So the only way it could be a compliment and not disturbing would be if a man older than 20 years but younger than me had some admiration for me, nothing sexual, because I would be too pure for this in his eyes  Plus we're talking about something complicated here : we don't have to suffer from this, but we got to be diplomatist too or we're going to be called homophobic.
I'm not homophobic, I just don't want to stress for my - - -

  :rofl:oh your poor @** ! it is seldom that someone would compliment you for your mind. more often, it's physical and hormonal. I mean if we only live in a polygamous society, I would have a few wives by now. the concern in our typical society that we live in, is that women are extremely territorial and not communal. I can only imagine what's the married life in Utah would be like.

depending on the RPG but not MMORPG or anything with a party system and loot. I prefer playing solo and in most games. classic FF7 got me into it. I'm all about Final Fantasy. so annoying that stupid Sony exclusivity kept the game on hold and even till now, the PC port ain't even out yet even if it was suppose to release back in April. the only annoying pary of it was that my vacation days are all spent in that month with nothing to do and no game to play.

I hate this new ebay payout system. Sold a bunch of stuff on Friday, of course the weekend got in the way. They “processed” my funds on Monday, “initiated” my payment today, won’t hit my account until tomorrow or Thursday. Paypal would have had my bread by Monday morning.

It's one of the reasons why I slowed down from listing things from eBay. Yeah, it's cool to get the funds taken out immediately, but the payout is never consistent.

dang. mans needs his money pronto!
I learned to grow patient. Esp with the auth system...
I prefer goat though.

I haven’t sold a pair of sneakers in forever. Damn near gives me anxiety to have to find a box, tape it off and walk it to my nearest post office. It’s weird because I didn’t used to feel that way before. It was easy money to be back then.

I know. I’m speaking in a context in America as reference to Black people.

Ah, I see. Now that I understand a little more, I’ve always wondered why America sometimes refers to black people as “negro”. They're not Spanish speakers so I do find it odd that word be spliced in when they’re talking about history. Us Latinos don’t refer to white people as “blanco” (the word for color white). Just know that “negro” is not offensive in our language in case you hear it said by someone in Spanish conversation.

I am aware. I spend a vast majority of my time in Latin America.

As some of my family members are descendants of Latin America.
