Who the hell realy knows bro
If u let them tell it or if u read their books
Americans supposedly paid for the land
And Mexicans lost the rest in the Mexican-American war.
But lord knows how much has been hiding in American history books :frown:

I think America paid France for part of America too didnt they.
Crazy to think i learned this stuff in elementary school and dont remember fiddlesticks now

Couldn't Mexicans technically refer to themselves as native Americans? They were on the continent of America originally, right along with the 'Indians'.

I need to do some reading on this. How were the border lines determined to separate usa from Mexico and Canada. Surprised the 'finding fathers' didn't take all of Mexico too. Not surprised they didn't want Canada, it's too cold.

Just crazy to me how all this stuff is just basically disregarded today.

1. Mexicans of Native Ancestry (Maya, Aztec) are considered Native Americans.

2. Mexico? The Spanish already conquered it.......

France owned most of the midwest, Napoelon sold it to the US to fund his war.

This information isn't disregarded, most people know this already. The Spanish are worse at colonizing to be honest, left almost all of their colonies 3rd world or developing while former English colonies are thriving.

Meeting with the manager today to show me around the building and what not. Hopefully that means I’m getting an offer sheet.

What's y'all favorite brand of chocolate chip cookies?

This whole week, I've found myself buying a bag of Famous Amous from the vending machine at work. For some reason I always gotta have something sweet after I eat my lunch, especially if it's too salty.

Gonna have to cop a pack of chips ahoy and pack 2 or 3 in a zip lock and bring it in my lunchbox.

*calls doctor's office*
Me: Hi i am calling to make an appointment for a new primary care physician do you have anyone on staff taking new patients
Clerk: Do you want to see an M.D. or a nurse practitioner
Me: uh, i just need a new primary care doctor since i moved
Clerk: Ok so M.D. or nurse practioner
Me: M.D. i guess
Clerk: Our next open appoitment with an M.D. is August 15th
Me: uhhhh ok....i'll take it?

If this is real life i might as well start just scheduling doctors appointments through out the year. Checking cancellation requirements and making sure i cancel within 72 hours or whatever the stipulation is. But seriously? 5 months away? oh well. All i wanted was to get some blood work done

What's wrong with a nurse practitioner?

I'm in grad school to be a nurse practitioner (psychiatric specialty though)

You don't think a nurse practitioner can order blood work?!

They can do that lol

Primary care physicians do a head to toe general assessment, order blood work, maybe they'll order antibiotics when you come in sick and they think you have a bacterial infection, maybe order cholesterol blood pressure diabetic medication based on blood work. They'll make sure your titers are up and if not they may order boosters to keep your immunization for certain diseases up. If there's anything out of the ordinary they can't handle, they'll refer you to a specialist.

An np will be able to do all that.

If all you want is an annual checkup and blood work the np will meet your need. You'll probably encounter more NPs in the primary care setting with physicians increasingly looking to specialize.

I find Famous Amos to be too sandy/powdery/grainy? I like chewy chips ahoy more. Or buy the pre made pillsbury dough one and bake it myself.

I’m the same way, after a meal I need something sweet.
