The Thread About Nothing. SNEAKER EDITION

Filled out a raffle ticket for sport blue VI's. What's crazy was no one knew what it was for. They just signed up not knowing what the shoe was about. Dude that worked at footlocker was like "they the all white J's with the blue stripe on the bottom". This was a footlocker employee. **** make me almost want to stop altogether man

its not called "house of jordan 6"

the workers at my footlocker on the other hand pretty much leave you alone and talk around and ish

all of them are extreme sneakerheads, wearing some dank releases though

Those dudes that hold stuff r the worst.

Are there finished pairs of this out there in the wild yet?

I saw some on ig but probably overseas cats.
Didnt see any in the flux thread
My local footlocker always up to sneaky business

HoH won't let you see pairs before release, Champs Sports hides some of its pairs in the clothign section, Kid sFootlocker has a hidden counter with all the good releases

I don't understand why anyone likes the jordan 14

I never liked XIV's until the white/green retro came out in '06. Tried them on and they were crazy comfortable. For $60, I figured why not?

I wouldn't buy any other XIV though.

What is it with Virginia and Kobes? How come NOBODY wants a pair? Seems weird to me,but i dunno
Nobody in virginia would touch a kd with a stick either though

its cause all kds are ugly. all of them.

Just a question of curiosity...

What are the footlocker workers at your footlocker like?

dirtbags. Most of those that work in shoe stores are. It's even worse now. I was never really like that though.

Yeah, it's really sad what Niketown NY has become over the last 16 years

^ Nah, not only Nike, but Niketown NY. When I first went into that store in 1998, it was wonderful. It had a brick facade on inside the store like the exterior of the Pacers arena. The store was more team sports oriented, had a big screen that showed commercials every 15 min and was an overall dope store. Over the years it changed. It was nice when I worked there, but little by little it became a store catered to running and the designed changed to look more like a boutique style. I don't like what it's become.

[thread="603301"]14s are fire plus they are probably the best of the official j's line to ball in.[/thread]
I'm not a fan of that shoe in general. Although the toebox has a lot of room in it. It's the best to ball in, in terms of what though?

I can't speak on the latest retros, but older XIVs had amazing traction, court-feel, cushioning and great ankle support, without being overly restrictive. They were also very light when they came out, although like most leather shoes they're probably bricks by today's standards. The thing that made them so amazing was the fact they had an incredible amount of court-feel, while retaining great cushioning. XIVs were in a league of their own and are still considered by many to be the best performing Jordan on court. The only shoes of the period I can recall coming close to the traction/court-feel/cushioning combo of the XIVs are the Jet Flight and Flightposite II's, both of which released a few years after the XIV.

^ Yeah, people loved Jet Flights and Steve Nash swore by them for years. I just wasn't a fan of the XIV originally. My first AJ was the XII and I left them alone until I started buying more kicks years later. I didn't like XIV's aesthetically but a LOT of people I knew loved them. FP II's were always puzzling to me. I didn't like that shoe at all. And they were uncomfortable on my foot.

Niketown back in DMV isn't anything to write home about. The highlight of the store is the Georgetown Hoya colored Jordans, which gets old pretty quick. Also, the stock isn't that great though. Basically became a basketball/training store

The FPIIs were a strange shoe. As I'm sure you know, they were originally KGs signature shoe. The odd thing was, even though they were being marketed as a forwards shoe, from what I witnessed, they became much more popular with guards.
