The QUESTION Jay-Z thread

Has anyone actually seen the OJ and 4:44 videos?

Anyone care to discuss them?

Yo no lie I've been looking for an analysis of the 4:44 video.

Your breakdown was kind of extreme, but I would be lying if I said it didn't make sense. I Def gotta give it another run back.

And I was confused about those clips too...very random. But I noticed that they all had a common denominator. A lot of em were negative images. Well 2 of them were dudes dancing. I don't see how that was negative. But I do remember seeing police brutality, fights, and the leprechaun cat acting a damn fool. Idk The Basquiat clip and Earha Kitt clip. Idk how those play a role in the video. But I did have a feeling that there was a message HOV was trynna push with the male and female dancers. Specifically when he took his chain off and put it on her neck. (I got the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain)?? And then it looked like she was choking

It's def a video that needs to be analyzed

I feel like the video is a confession for being fake, an apology for his negative impact on the culture, and his reasoning for his actions.

He is rapping to hip hop. Think I USED TO LOVE HER from Common.

The Eartha Kitt scene is telling us that his relationship with Beyonce was not true love, but rather a business move.

The ignorance is the culture he helped create. After all of those clips you hear the " I apologize" in the song.

The really telling point was from 3:20-3:33. He puts his hand in his shirt and tries to lead with his heart, but instead brings his hands out and puts up the ROC sign. He then grabs the chain in disgust. That is letting us know that he knows that he sold out, and it kills him inside.

The Basquiat clip tells us why: Insurance. Money

The two people representing him and Beyonce are representative of the "j****boos" he feels like they have become.

The end is extremely telling too. It is an OLD clip of his daughter Blue. Why the old clip? It is about what she does. She puts her hands on the glass. Immediately after that she puts her hand on the floor. What is that? That is the "BLUEPRINT."

The message the entire video conveys is that his career was a hustle, fake on purpose, and a BLUEPRINT to something else. That is one of the reasons for the song KILL JAY Z. He doesn't have to front anymore. On the song The story of O.J. he says... "Light N, Dark N, 4 N, Real N, Rich N, Poor N, House N, Field N... Still N. Why is the 4 there? If you follow the theme, he should be saying fake instead of 4. He was trying to tell us the HE was fake.

This video is telling us he was fake, but for a purpose. Now if he was fake, who is the real Shawn Carter? Is he a homosexual, or was he just pushing a homosexual agenda along with other messages? What was the purpose? Does he answer that on the song Legacy? He now has the money, so does he now start a society within society? I truly believe that is his end game.

You had me until you mentioned the homosexual stuff :lol

I don't think I've ever heard or suspected JayZ to be pushing a homosexual agenda. Care to go a lil deeper tho?(pause) I wanna hear more, this is interesting

What does this mean?

The 4 represents Jay Z

The : and the color represent this...

The color of this album really reminded me of Volume 1.

When I got to Volume 1, I see the two fists. The pound is a representation of being on the down low. Put a penis in his hand on the back cover. If you think I am crazy, remember that theme.

The 44? That stands for the 44th POTUS.

Where is the positioning of the 4:44? On the down low.

I feel like the saying and line under it mean many things too, but I will stop there.

Where would their lower bodies be positioned if you could see them?

What do the expressions on their faces say?

The first line on this album: "You take the clothes off my back, and I'll let you."

Huh?

Look at the chairs.

All "Bottoms up?"

All except for 1. Look at the chair over his left shoulder, and how it is positioned with the rest of the chairs.

Coincidence?

This is a male and female though. Alpheus and Arethusa.

It can fit the sexual imagery thing though 8o

How much of a budget did they put into album covers in this era? A lot. Is anything a coincidence? Again... put a penis in his hand.

Again... is it coincidence that a penis in his hand could be conceptualized?

What does the 2.1 stand for? The album cover is RED?

Hmm...

Again... there is a theme.

Put a penis in both of his hands.

Why are his hands and lips white... on the cover of the Black Album?

Once is a coincidence.

This isn't.

Now... Look at his lower body here. In between the doors? Back Door? Again... this is a multiplatinum album from Def Jams signature artist. Why didn't they show the car? Look at this hands/fingers.

View media item 2488183
Now look at his backside in reference to the doors. Coincidence. Look at this hand positioning. If the front doesn't convince you, the back will

I'm not buying your theory, but let's assume that you're correct and he's gay... Becky is slang for Barry or Barack... then what is the master plan here? Why go through the trouble of hiding it so well, but not hiding it at all?

Now this is where it starts. The Reasonable Doubt title is suspect in itself. The cover is a portrayal of this man...

This is Sigmund Freud. Who is he? He is probably the most famous psychologist ever. I studied him while earning my psychology degree. So while people claim I am gay, I was actually trained to look for these types of things.

Why is Jay Z portraying him on his first album?

Coincidence?

How can you connect the RD cover to the Freud photo? Outside of the cigar, suit and black and white image?

I connect it using every one of his other albums. It was a sign of what was to come... aka the Blueprint. There are no other cigar references until that album.

Coincidence?

The Blueprint Album cover is the only other album cover where he has a cigar in his hand

Or he was drawing inspiration from Al Capone. A man who made hundreds of millions daily in organized crime but didn't know when to walk away. RD is the story of a hustler leaving the drug game for rap before he ends up like his friend on Dead Presidents II. D'Evils details exactly what I'm telling you the whole album is about. It all tells one story. Go back and listen.
