Has anyone actually seen the OJ and 4:44 videos?
Anyone care to discuss them?
Yo no lie I've been looking for an analysis of the 4:44 video.
Your breakdown was kind of extreme, but I would be lying if I said it didn't make sense. I Def gotta give it another run back.
And I was confused about those clips too...very random. But I noticed that they all had a common denominator. A lot of em were negative images. Well 2 of them were dudes dancing. I don't see how that was negative. But I do remember seeing police brutality, fights, and the leprechaun cat acting a damn fool. Idk The Basquiat clip and Earha Kitt clip. Idk how those play a role in the video. But I did have a feeling that there was a message HOV was trynna push with the male and female dancers. Specifically when he took his chain off and put it on her neck. (I got the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain)?? And then it looked like she was choking
It's def a video that needs to be analyzed
I feel like the video is a confession for being fake, an apology for his negative impact on the culture, and his reasoning for his actions.
He is rapping to hip hop. Think I USED TO LOVE HER from Common.
The Eartha Kitt scene is telling us that his relationship with Beyonce was not true love, but rather a business move.
The ignorance is the culture he helped create. After all of those clips you hear the " I apologize" in the song.
The really telling point was from 3:20-3:33. He puts his hand in his shirt and tries to lead with his heart, but instead brings his hands out and puts up the ROC sign. He then grabs the chain in disgust. That is letting us know that he knows that he sold out, and it kills him inside.
The Basquiat clip tells us why: Insurance. Money
The two people representing him and Beyonce are representative of the "j****boos" he feels like they have become.
The end is extremely telling too. It is an OLD clip of his daughter Blue. Why the old clip? It is about what she does. She puts her hands on the glass. Immediately after that she puts her hand on the floor. What is that? That is the "BLUEPRINT."
The message the entire video conveys is that his career was a hustle, fake on purpose, and a BLUEPRINT to something else. That is one of the reasons for the song KILL JAY Z. He doesn't have to front anymore. On the song The story of O.J. he says... "Light N, Dark N, 4 N, Real N, Rich N, Poor N, House N, Field N... Still N. Why is the 4 there? If you follow the theme, he should be saying fake instead of 4. He was trying to tell us the HE was fake.
This video is telling us he was fake, but for a purpose. Now if he was fake, who is the real Shawn Carter? Is he a homosexual, or was he just pushing a homosexual agenda along with other messages? What was the purpose? Does he answer that on the song Legacy? He now has the money, so does he now start a society within society? I truly believe that is his end game.
