To be fair, he's specifically talking about Microsoft's studios, so whether or not he remembers Nintendo is irrelevant unless you're drawing a parallel to people thinking Nintendo was untouchable.

Neither are out yet but from what we've seen...

PS4 has that low price point
Better hardware which will hopefully carry the system well after a number of years
Remote Play with vita will definitely be huge if it works as shown
PS3 had better exclusives, hopefully they can keep that up

X1 has alot of potential with kinect, and their UI in the way you can have multiple things going on at once in the same screen
Using batteries in the controller is ridiculous to still have
DRM and the whole game sharing will be more accepted in a few years time so it'll probably be back
More expensive

I Hate Halo. Loved Gears of War so much that I wouldnt trade any PS3 exclusive last gen for ir. It was my fav multiplayer game of all time. IMO any studio at anytime can create something that changes everything. So when dudes start sprouting that best catalog for either system b.s. I cringe.

THE WHOLE ARGUMENT IS POINTLESS AND IRRELEVANT. IT COMES DOWN TO WHAT GAMES/GENRE YOU LIKE. I PREFER FPS TITLES, SO IN THAT RESPECT, THE XBOX WILL BE MY GO TO CONSOLE AS THEY TEND TO CATER TO SHOOTERS AND THE CONTROLLER IMO IS BETTER SUITED FOR SHOOTERS. HALO WILL MORE THAN LIKELY ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME SO ANY CONSOLE THAT HAS IT, I WILL LEAN TOWARDS IT. WITH THAT SAID, EVERY OTHER GENRE OF GAME I WILL LIKELY PICK UP ON MY PS4 (METAL GEAR, MADDEN, NBA2K)

I can definitely agree with that. But just because the 'war' hasn't begun doesn't mean we can't take an educated guess on who will come out on top.

Exactly what it is.

All we have is specs and features on paper.

All we can do is wait until November to see how well each system performs as to what Sony and Microsoft have said.

PS4 is cheaper, definitely more powerful and will have the better games based on the 15+ years of information we have.

Imma go with PS4 for me only because im never home so the whole play the Vita on the go thing = Game changer for me.

I love the Xbox controllers more though, and am more comfortable with that platform all together. But my reserves say otherwise.

Give me 3 reasons Microsoft will be able to compete with Sony over the entire generation when it comes to games. No body in Microsoft's studio catalog comes close to any of the teams at Naughty Dog or Santa Monica. Nobody.

it all depends on what games you like. I'd take halo 3 over any sony exclusive last gen. But that's just my personal preference. He'll gimme ****** halo 4 over the best kill zone anyway.

And you're also dealing with unknowns. ms created 3 new studios. Is it right to automatically say they won't produce anything of value?

I've never understood how people complain so much about a $100 difference on these consoles. If $400 and $500 seems like worlds apart you might be better off waiting til a price cut on the PS4.

Also when you factor in that these systems will keep you entertained for 8+ years that $100 is nothing.. People are getting the PS4 because they want to and same with the X1..but with that being said I think people are happy with the entry price being 399 and cheaper than the competition.

$100 isn't a lot but $100 for the weaker console? That is unheard of and it widens the gap.

sometimes you people are ridiculous. yea... YOU people. lol but the ps4 is better. im not biased, i just want to get the best product i can for my money. i have a 360 now, and i swear by it. the 360 won THIS generations war. but these next gen consoles are a no-brainer.

the ps4 is cheaper by $100. That means u can get the ps4, and 2 years of online/controller+accesories/game+accessories for the price of just the barebones xb1
the ps4 is stronger and faster statistically speaking. so even if at launch theyre close, ull start seeing the gap FAR sooner than this generation
xb1 disrespected all gamers with those policies they tried to force on us, and the ONLY reason they changed them, is because of ps4 killing them at e3 and the reaction that followed.
ps4 will have the stream service which allows you to go back generations in gaming, AWESOME
tho the xbox 360 controller is damn near perfect, lets call a spade a spade and recognize this new ps4 controller is taking a few elements from it which is a good thing.
ps+ online is giving away good and recent games while xbl is giving away games nobody cared about 3 years ago.


the only thing i can say is in favor of xb1 is... well...im sure halo will be fun.

-Third party support from Japanese devs

-Upgradeable hard drive
-Backwards compatibility with some hardware accessories like headsets, sticks and wheels
-Policies and Politics
-Design and size

I wouldnt go as far as to call people cheap that want to save money. Its just that imo, $100 isnt enough money to turn me off of a console that has games I want to play. Like if a 3ds was less powerful than a Vita and $100 more expensive, I wouldnt care because I want to play pokemon X/Y. So if somebody is more interested in multiplats, by all means get the cheaper console, thats a no brainer.

No one is saying saving money is considered cheap. The point is you're going to be playing one of these systems (if you're like me) for the next 6-8 years so $100 shouldn't be a big deal.
