The Official Tennis Thread (Vol. 2024 US Open)

if Li and Carlos linked up 2-3 years earlier, She could been in a different level by now.
her improvement is evident but to glue it firmly it really does take time.

Amazing how Nole can start off with a love-hold and follow it up with a nervous break.

While it would be cool to see Stan with the upset, the prospect of his one-handed backhand getting eaten up by Nadal's topspin is too depressing. Same goes for Gasquet.

Great cross-court forehand winner for the break, but Nole's all over the place right now... shocking stuff.  No intensity.

Was not expecting this from Nole, basically a carbon copy Murray so far. Stan doing just enough as he did the other night.

Clean-kill set by Stan.  Glad this is a grand slam match.

Backhand has been spot-on.

  Very nice.

Stan's accuracy down the lines with the backhand in both these last two matches has been excellent.

Having said that, there was that one at 15-30 on his serve that was clearly out ...Nole should've challenged that, could have led to a vital break.

Despite how crap Nole's been and how great Stan's been... we're tied.

Wow, Nole had a chance to get back in that set... brainfreeze service-game at 4-4.
