The Official Tennis Thread (Vol. 2024 US Open)

I felt Sasha was exceptional in the first 2.5 sets... serving was ridiculous.
It'll depend if he brings this same level vs Meddy... and also what Meddy has left in the tank.

Sabalenka's back into the Aussie Open final for the second year in the row.

The momentum in that first set was all over the place... Definitely could have gone Coco's way if her serve didn't let her down so much in the match.

Sabalenka might just win the whole thing without dropping a set. She would have to have a massive off day to not win this, and for Qin Wen to play a mammoth match.

I'm looking very sharp, indeed.
Novak missing a lot, with a lot of errors, and looking a bit like his age.

Good drama, but the level of tennis in this match has been very suboptimal.
Close to 80 unforced errors total, with Novak contributing to over 50 of them. Yikes.

Not that his chances looked good, but Novak getting broken from 40-0 will probably cost him this match.
And him having ZERO break point opportunities in the entire match is incredible.

could've sworn that 2nd to last shot by Sinner was long. LFGGGGGG

Had a feeling Sinner was going to beat joker... Happy it actually happened though lol

If the final goes to 5, Meddy probably will struggle physically compared to Sinner.

these double faults are killing me. Saba too strong, she looks like a Soviet crushing machine by comparison lol
