Yeah, in a couple of those finals roddick gave it everything he had but it wasn't enough against fed. Maybe against another opponent that would've been enough or as was said fed brought out the best of roddick.

That Wimbledon final was the best Roddick ever played. If not for the rain delay, who knows what could've happened.

I don't know if Novak can get away with 100 unforced errors and beat Roger 6 year age gap or not. Simon couldn't capitalize on anything. Rafa can't compete and it's only a year gap right?

Nothing is wrong with Fed, it's called Father Time. Guy is 34, most players can't even do anything past 30.
Fed will keep fighting for one more slam and exit ala Sampras, but he needs everything to go right with the draw.

Nadal or Djoker since Philippousis(sp) isn't playing at Wimbledon in the final? Not gonna happen. Father time is too consistent and it is Nosuckass Djokobull**** reign now. His conditioning, shots, strategy are unstoppable....I hope some kid in like Southern California/Miami is training to wash Nole. But I can only dream.
Unless Nole just stops caring about the sport and Federer has a draw full of qualifiers there really is no way. I would think soon Federer has got to think about not playing as many torunaments and saving his all for the GS's.

I'm not sure what you're referring to with Philipoussis. Sampras exited by beating Agassi at the US Open, then walked away.
Joker is the equivalent of the Detroit Pistons back in the day. He's the transition between Federer/Nadal and whoever will rise to take the mantle next. He's at the right place at the right time, but I'll never consider him an all time great no matter how many slams he wins.

Pete Sampras' first and final grand slam was at the USO against Andre Agassi.
So for Fed to repeat something like that he would have to win where he won his first GS against the same opponent or similar.
Essentially Pete left the same way he arrived on the scene. lol.
