I didn't see a version with bonus track unless they adding it later today so I'll just have to download the dirty version Audio Meth
My review
1. I'm Not A Star - I sense he was going for the Mafia Music type intro like on Deeper Than Rap, but this one isn't as tough. Good song but we all know the Intro to this album should have been Mafia Music 2
4/5
2. Free Mason - not a fan of the beat like that but the lyrics are good, Ross killed that JFK line
. Hov ripped it
4/5
3. Tears Of Joy - I'm not like the rest of yall here on NT who worship everything Cee Lo does, not feeling this track too much. Kinda was waiting for the beat to eventually drop but it never does. Plus it feels like Ross is just talking over the track
2.5/5
4. Maybach Music 3 - I admit I kinda judged it harshly because Jadakiss was on it and messed up the vibe but listening to it now, it's the best track on the album to me. PERFECT BEAT, smooth hook, Tip killed his verse and Erykah killed the hook. Love the beat change on Ross' verse
5/5
5. Live Fast Die Young - Great summer track. Disgusting sample
(in a good way), wish Kanye woulda went harder though.
5/5
6. Super High - this song has that Isaac Hayes' type funk to it
, coulda stepped the lyrics up but it was a single for the ladies.
4/5
7. No. 1 - I would bet any sum of money this was a throwaway from Diddy's Last Train to Paris album. It's an aight song, but I'm not a fan of the hook and beat change during the hook
2.5/5
8. MC Hammer - straight trunk rattling music, LOVE everything about it besides Gucci's terrible verse
. But i can look past it because of how hard it bangs
4.5/5
9. B.M.F. - I don't even need to speak on this song, I've worn it out so much since the Albert Anastasia mixtape
10/5
10. Aston Martin Music - smooth song once again, Ross has that vibe DOWN PAT. Drake's feature was a waste, shoulda spit a verse
4/5
11. All the Money In The World - love the beat, goodsong but he needed a third verse and cut out all that singing at the end. This was like Valley of Death pt 2 good ending to the album.
5/5
I think it is another solid album Rick Ross album, that's all you can ask for from rappers these days. It's a notch below DTR because I feel the best songs on DTR were much better than the best songs on Teflon Don. He'll remain as one of the most consistent dudes out, but will he ever have an undeniable classic (replace two tracks on here with Mafia Music 2 and Audio Meth and he coulda had one
)? But I guess we'll have to wait for the next album
OVERALL I give it a
7.5/10
