Just copped the LP yesterday afternoon...

Very satisfied with this album...

The weakest song by far is the last joint...

"No. 1" is not as bad as some of you are making it out to be, and like someone mentioned, its really nice in the whip...

Other than the songs from AA EP, the album is incredible!!!...

J.U.S.T.I.C.E League deserves to win an Academy Award for best "Audio Cinematography Score" or something for MM3...

My only quarrel with the album is that its only 11 tracks, which saved "Deeper Than Rap" from losing its place fro Ross's best album...

I'll personally add: "Mafia Music 2", "Audio Meth", and the extended version of "Aston Martin Music" to my version of the tape...

But you said "No. 1" isn't as BAD as Ns tryin make it seem (which IS true), but that songs serves NO purpose on the album... It has nothing to do with the theme of the album, it absolutely ruins the flow of the album and eliminates ANY chance of the album being ANYwhere near a CLASSIC...

Spoiler [+]

"All The Money" in the world had the potential to be VERY special, had he added a 3rd verse of 32 or 48 bars with the depth of a "Tears Of Joy" or "Vally Of Death"... Raphael Saadiq's vocals were mediocre @ BEST... I'm a HUGE Tony Tone' Toni fan too...

But even with all that said, its STILL a DOPE record...

It had the potential to be a CAREER DEFINING track... Ross dropped the ball... I don't have a clue why Raphael Saadiq sounded SOOOO stale...

Tho the album doesn't SUCK... I'm DEF dissapointed in Teflon Don as a whole... It was 3 or 4 songs away from being special, but for whatever reason they chose not to use the records that would've taken this to the next level...

#kanteshrug

STILL will prolly end up being one of the TOP albums of the year...

I think No. 1 serves a purpose as far as him having 3 (sure enough soon to be 4) Number 1 albums. That's what that track is for...

Teflon Don is a good album. Maybe not better that DTR... It's like the album's so short that you have no choice but to replay it.

But as far as I'm concerned, Trilla is what I mess with the most. Even if most don't consider it his best musical effort...

1) You can't comopare Teflon Don to Illmatic... You Just Can't
2) If You're gonna make an 11 track album and expect Ns to call it a CLASSIC, like Illmatic, You're gonna NEED 8 out of the 9 tracks to stand out as CLASSIC tracks on their own... That's not the clase here...

The CLASSIC argument can't even be made for this...

It had the potential to be one, but there were a few mistakes made with the execution of the project...
