There's only a few players that actually got Kobe PE's, Hali was not one of them. Hali bought his kicks from IG (most of which were Derozan's PE's), he never actually got any PE's from Nike directly.

I'm going to speculate that his agent probably tried negotiating something of sort with Nike this summer and they told him to kick rocks so Puma gave him money.

Demar gets paid to wear Nike's. He gets PE's, has his own Nike account with money loaded on it, etc..

Yes Nike athletes do but most have custom orthotics they wear. I think Derozan just plays in they how they are since he’s been getting Kobe’s direct from him since Highschool (and also doesn’t tie his shoes) but that’s why most players when giving the shoes to a kid take the orthotics out because they put them in every shoe

Nike's handle of Kobes are so damn disrespectful. The man himself wanted his shoes accessible to everyone. Had the most colorways and most shoes out here back during his playing days. Flooded the market, but now they do all these limited/exclusives.

I'm just trying to figure out how Internet personalities have access to unreleased Kobe's. Derozon having them is one thing, he's hooping in them and he was co-signed by Kobe himself.

They're (or whoever is having final say) starting to turn the Kobe brand into "a fashion brand for the girlies" Some of the releases already has been questionable.

Nike needs to make sure these releases are hoop centric and basketball functional as that was a part of Kobe's mantra before it goes too far off the rails.

The Kobe V Double D's were my favorite Kobe V to play in, so much that I'd wash & dry this outfit immediately after hooping.
I will definitely try my hardest to get them if they are indeed releasing.

Ok I figured out why the protro 9 lows don’t work for me:

• The react midsole from the 9s is thicker/taller and thus makes the toe box more cramped.
• Swapped in a lunarlon midsole from EM 9s and they fit a little better
• Swapped in a react midsole from a protro 8 and they fit a lot better

Pretty dumb I have to swap insoles from a different shoe for it to work for me. Most people don’t have protro 8s they can swap midsoles with. Just dumb they made the react midsole on the protro 9s thicker/taller than the OG lunarlon midsole.

I don't think the 9 protros fit snug at all. Matter of fact, I feel they fit much looser than the OGs.
