The Official NBA Season Thread: SFA Prevails

I stood ten toes down by myself against the Wemby hype and now look.

Cats were losing their mind cause he was a looter in a riot in the back half of last season putting up empty stats for a terrible team.

Search feature is cooked but eye remember posing the question if Wemby is a True Talent Shooter

Was a pretty low volume 3PT shooter in France until 2022-23, when he shot 27.5% on 171 attempts in 34 games. 32.5% last season. 22.6% to start this season.

He's a 4x DPOY-level defender for sure, though. No doubt about that.

I first thought Wemby was Gobert with a jumpshot. Now Wemby is just Rudy with a green light and irrational confidence.

They're lucky the search feature is broken.

Not sure if people actually thought this Klay-Buddy switch out wasn't going to work. Almost seemed like a perfect match and not afraid to say Buddy is a better offensive player than Klay at this point.

Also, shoutout to Melton and Kyle adding to that depth and defensive pressure. Team really should have moved on from Podz.

Wemby’s going to be fine. Just needs to get a bit stronger so he can better absorb contact and still get a clean shot off. Then he’ll be able to add the pull-up elbow jumpers that KD loves, maybe a jump hook.

I wouldn’t have him banging on the low block a lot, but maybe get him the ball in post spots on the move.

It’s coming; just a question of how soon.
