Knicks'coach Mike D'Antoni reportedly wants to see point guard Stephon Marbury waived.
The New York Post reported early Sunday that D'Antoni wants the Knicks to cut ties with the controversial point guard.
The Knicks are responsible for Marbury's $21.9 million salary this season. If the club waives him, Marbury will likely clearwaivers and become a free agent.

Al Harringtonwants to be traded, and Warriors' head coach Don Nelson isn't opposed to the idea of seeing the forward shipped out of town.
"He thinks he's a superstar. I think he's a very good player. If he wants to be traded, we'll try to accommodatehim," Nelson told ESPN.com on Saturday night.
Harrington publicized his trade request before the season opener, and the Warriors have been fielding inquiries from numerous teamsever since.
"I'm just going to keep doing what I can do to be the best player I can be," Harrington said after hearing Nelson'slatest comments. "If something happens, it happens. I'm prepared either way."

The NBA hasdecided that the technical foul accessed against Rocket forward Ron Artest will stand, the Houston Chronicle is reporting
Artest was given the technical for running to a confrontation after Dallas' Josh Howard fouled Yao Ming.

Nets'forward Sean Williams, who is currently in the doghouse in New Jersey, has confirmed to the New York Post that he asked team President Rod Thorn not to pick uphis third year option so he could become a free agent quicker.
Williams, though, said the decision not to pick up his option had nothing to do with wanting to leave New Jersey, but rather to getonto his next contract quicker.
"I told Rod I didn't want him to pick up my option," said Williams. "It had nothing to do with me not wanting to behere as part of this team because I love this team."
"It's part of the business. I want to get to my second deal as fast as possible."
