im about 12 episodes in, and it feels like the poor man's Death Note;still intrigued tho, so ill def keep watching it.

With Code Geass, it doesn't try to use intellect to outsmart the opponent, it's more like mecha battle tactics. It's still a good anime though, they pretty much did everything well, even the voice acting was on point.

Kaiji is more similar to Death Note in that they have to use their brains to win, though Kaiji relies a lot on luck.
