I use them too I just think the other standard laces they included with the anniversary pairs look cleaner. I guess it’s just nice to have the option. That said I appreciate them using the OG nylon laces but they don’t look all that great to me. Other laces>

hate the nylon laces...i use the alternates on my annys.
that twitter poster confirmed no extra laces come with the greens, so i’ll need to dip in the lace stash to swap them in asap.

It’s a small detail, but I guess I’ll reiterate again, why are these $140 again? No special box, no hang tag, no extra laces, and the same materials as ID’s. ID’s are almost always a little more than the regular retail shoes because it’s made to order. Not to mention Air Max 90s are $20 cheaper. Now I’ll have to buy extra laces too. Not a deal breaker, but just something to think about I guess. Sorry to anyone if I’m beating a dead horse because I know I’ve mentioned this already.

iirc someone here already replied to you?! Imo it's ridiculous comparing the current IDs with those hunters/oranges.
Mold of Anniversaries is on point af and those hunters/oranges look like same built.
Personally I don't care bout the box or the laces. Smallest issues we can get!!!

It’s not ridiculous. They’re the exact same shoes minus leaving them on the last to curve the toe a bit. That’s the only difference. It’s not even a different mold. I’ve had a pair of the new ID’s and I’ve had 5 pairs of anniversaries at one point or another. Same synthetic suede, same mesh, same nylon, same laces, same everything. I’m not even complaining per say. I just find it intriguing. I just can’t recall a time where Nike priced their ID’s with the same materials at a lower price point than their mainline stuff. Anniversary 90s are $120 and ID’s with essentially the same materials are $140 which is expected since they’re custom. These are $140 and to customize an ID with the same material is $130. They’re not charging you $10 to curve the toe. I dunno. Quarantine has made me more frugal and to question everything lol. I think the answer is like BurnSurvivorJoe said, it’s because they know we will pay it lol. I drank too much coffee today. I don’t even know why I’m awake.

Im in Germany. IDs are 155 €, Hunters 140 € - so Im not in the same boat as you!
Paying 140 € for those regular 87s would be great.
Current IDs aren't worth 70 €.

I mean I'm no material expert but the annys are much better built than iD's. Mesh, tongue, liner, everything is better. iD's always feel cheap in hand.
