Ha. It's stuff like that that made me think honda fat face is actually relieved she lost. The pressure seemed to be getting to her with her shenanigans at the weigh-ins and that post bashing holm who no one ever has anything bad to say about. Maybe she was trying to hype herself up and find something to be angry about. People in the press actually started to stop kissing her smelly, vinegar stench butt and ask her about her travis browne and how she hit an old boyfriend. She's not used to the criticism.

Ronda didn't respect Holly as a boxer or kick boxer. She thought she would go in there and impose her will like she has against every other opponent and beat them at their strong suit so she could look badass and say I beat her at what she supposedly does better than me.

Her corner should have told her to abort that plan after the first round beating and told her to stop boxing and try to take her down. She tried one or two of them throws she always does but Holly was ready 

If they fought again and dumbass Ronda doesn't try to box then she'd probably be the favorite.

I said this before. You can't really use your Judo if you can't close distance. Ronda couldn't close distance.

I don't know that she WANTED to stand and trade with Holly as long as she did. She just couldn't get in range.

Holly moved and countered beautifully. And when Ronda got in clinch range, she couldn't do anything with it.

Perfect style and perfect game plan.

And Tim Kennedy is an idiot.

But man she was in there straight running into punches.. agree Hollys movement was on point and was just picking her apart.

Nope.  Until someone gives me a better reason than "boys are more athletic than girls", I don't see how any untrained boxer could come in and beat a top level MMA fighter in an MMA fight.  If you can't defend any kicks or a takedown, how can I possibly believe you could win an MMA fight at the top level?

Just rewatched the fight again.. bruhh didn't notice this last night. This jackass edmond really say after the first round "beeeeaaauutiful" Ronda didn't not a single thing beautiful in that first round. If he was a real coach he'd said stopped trying to box with her and get her to the ground.

edmond theres just to manage her ego. similar to hackleman and chuck back in the day. i don't think she could handle moving into another camp or another camp williing to take her.. Maybe she can go to the Musclepharm camp and we hear daily reports of Killashaw destroying her in practice.

At least we'll get to see some more competitive fights now in that division. Seemed like most of honda's opponents were intimidated by her. Holm had a beast of a performance but now the other contenders looking at her licking their lips thinking they can get to her. Miesha bae has gotten better but gets punched a lot too and Julianna Pena (I think that's her name) is real good and aggressive. Zinging has gone ghost so I dunno about her.

JJK was one of the greatest Olympians of all time. How she beat Flo Jo, Diana T or last but certainly not least Serena is beyond me. I'd argue that each of the athlete in the bracket is more accomplished than Ronda. People are just prisoners of the moment.

Against a boxer, an MMA fighter could bear crawl to close the distance.  Obviously Ronda couldn't do that last night because Holly is an MMA fighter with other weapons.  And even against Holly's superior stand up, Ronda was at least able to close the distance once.  Floyd, nor any other boxer, would be able to defend that the way Holly did 

And it wouldn't even take a prolific kicker to hurt Floyd in that aspect given he's never taken/defended a kick a day in his life.

Why do people assume she "didn't respect" Holly's boxing?

How about the fact that Holly's boxing (movement, angles, counters etc.) was too good for her to get past?

She got the clinch. Couldn't do anything with it.

The same could very well be the case with Floyd.

And you guys need to consider that boxers do a lot of infighting. And yes, Floyd has done his fair share.

It's not like they're completely foreign to being in close quarters, understanding leverage etc. in the clinch.
