No, she doesn't. She got clearly outclassed and knocked out in two rounds. There was no point in that fight where she was in control. Ronda needs to fix the holes in her game and get a couple wins.

Ronda the biggest fighter in the sport.. she don't need shh. Granted she got WORKED in an unimaginable fashion.. but she's earned the right to get a RE considering what she's done for the sport. And if we're talking money, yeah well.. there's no bigger fight to put on that one right now.

Holm entered the fight with 100% takedown defense and 100% takedown success and left with 100% takedown defense and 100% takedown defense.
Rousey FAILED to take Holm down on her one attempt.
Holm took Rousey RIGHT DOWN, emphatically on her takedown success.
It was a thorough *** beating. Like that first time a cat thinks he can beat his pops up and finds out the hard way.
Holm straight parented Rousey.

Casuals gon' casual, they're not going to tune in most Saturdays.
That gimmicky BS always has short-term results.
Just like with Brock, UFC 100 was a record breaker.
He had his diverticulitis, got beat by Cain, and the UFC went through a period of declining UFC numbers.
And now it'll happen again.
If the UFC wants to have sustained success, it's going to happen organically. If I want to see a company build up heels and faces, I'll watch the WWE.

A dominant reign against a talentless roster is garbage. Her first legitimate opponent wrecked her.
If the rematch happens expect the fix to be in if Holm doesn't KO her again. Dana's face after the fight and his comments say it all.

I agree Ronda deserves no part of a rematch. But there is no way the UFC is not going to give it to her. Ronda gonna talk the talk and get back in there and sell more seats. That's what the brass want.
But she was just completely off on her game. Looked to me like Holm broke Rondas jaw early. After a stiff jab, I never saw that thing close again. I think she started panicking cuz she fought like a complete idiot after that. Chick was too wild.

ronda hasnt done much for woman's mma, but she has done well for herself with movies and endorsements. most "casual" fans couldnt even name another woman's fighter.
does she deserve the immediate rematch? no, but dana is gonna schedule it. interesting to see when she will be back, since she gonna shoot a film if i recall. she better have a tune-up fight

Irony. Browne went from Jackson/Winklejohn to Edmond's. Glad they exposed that fraud. Rhonda's mom was right.Mike Winkeljohn and Greg Jackson put together a great game plan. Kept Holm constantly moving to avoid clinchg and fought Ronda at the end of her punches.

I heard JBJ worked with Holms in preparation for this fight. Rhonda is obviously going to get a rematch despite it not being a close fight. It'll make for a huge rematch like Silva/Sonnen 2 or Silva/Weidman 2. I feel like Rhonda has a good shot in the rematch if she plays to her strengths i.e. Judo and sick ground game. But then again, it gives Holms more time to work on her TDD and ground game. I'd be soaking the knowledge from JBJ, Mir, etc.
Honestly, with all of the marketing, the domestic abuse allegations, constant Floyd trolling and wacky ish she says, I'm not upset there's a new champion in Women's Bantamweight. In the words of a famous boxer, everyone has a game plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Ronda Rousey will not win the rematch, she should take a break from the sport and hope someone gets lucky to beat Holms or whether she vacates the belt for some reason. Rousey cannot beat Holms toe to toe, she needs to wrestle her and hope to get the submission victory.
I'm just wondering now though, where was all you guys during all these UFC events? Some of you guys just want to come here when a popular fighter loses badly, post and make mocking memes and making jokes, then all of a sudden people here are experts? I know her losing was a joy but some of you guys I have not seen much in this thread and take it too far. It's just a sport.
Now I'm feeling bad for Rousey and hope she's mentally okay. The rematch will still draw some good numbers though.

Ronda's striking has always been wild and she has no regard for defense, she just got away with it because she fought bums who couldn't take advantage. She wasn't off her game, she just got outclassed by a better striker.

Partially agree. She was def wild in the strikeforce days but she had cleaned it up. I knew Holm was the better striker coming in. I just don't think she stuck to any kinda plan. She panicked and completely drained herself. Soon as I saw her walking to her corner I was like, this chick ain't coming out of the second.

I wouldn't say she cleaned it up so much, against Bethe she looked as wild as ever, she just benefitted from terrible opposition. She gotta fire Edmond ASAP and get with a real coach if she really expects to get her hands right.
