Jon would SMOKE Francis, I don't see it being that close IMO

I think the Aspinall fight would be a harder matchup for Jon.

He already beat Jiri. Did Hill “deserve” the title shot? Probably not. He just managed to capitalize off of it. The Jan/Ankalaev fight was the more appropriate vacant title fight. But the fight ended in that controversial draw. And Khalil was #8. Great fighter but didn’t deserve a title shot. But Alex was a G. The only champ to fight 3X this year. He won in spectacular fashion each time. He took all of them on short notice. Thus becoming the UFC’s MVP.

I think they both deserve it.

Didn’t Topuria say he would give Volk a rematch? This is a risky fight if he’s already in line for a title shot.

UFC holding a card in Spain.

I'd "assume" Ilia isn't coming back until later Spring.

The UFC probably needs headliners for the February card. Volk/Lopes would make sense. But how can you make an interirm title fight when the champ just defended it?

Also, if Volk waits until Ilia is ready, that would be more than a year since his last fight. Good for his brain but a lil ring rust.

Sucks about Belal being out, wonder if they try to get the likes of Garry or JDM to do an interim with Shavkat or they just try to get a new title fight entirely. They couldn't get Perreira again right?!?! Seems like he needs at least few more months to rest up from last fight.

Merab and Umar aint confirmed. Merab said he won't be ready until March.
