The fact that Dana doesn’t understand that boasting that he wanted to cut Francis simply underscores the widely held believe that he was never the brains behind the business side of the UFC’s success, is absolutely hilarious.
Pick any major turning point in the UFC’s rise and you’ll see that it was either the Fertitas, Endeavor or the matchmakers who made it all happen.
Dana is a talented carnival barker…nothing more.

Yeah…I think it’s crazy that Dana is criticizing Francis for exercising his god given right for capitalism.
Same dude that criticized Jon Jones and said he was scared for wanting to get paid for participating in super fights.
Meanwhile, we’ve got two anti trust cases, freezing Conor out, only go to venues based on a contract with MGM grand, site fees or minimize costs by putting it in the APEX.
Francis literally went against a no name 6’8 giant with incredible power. Went against two of pound for pound heavyweights. Guaranteed his MMA opponents would get $2 million pay checks.
But those “journalists” won’t press or ask real follow up questions. The game is lucky Ariel is doing what he’s doing or it would be curtains for any type of freedom.
