Faber doesn't fight in Frankie's division.
i know he doesnt

hes in the same situation as frankie where he could fight at either weight

dillashaws the champ and mendes is fighting for the belt, hes out of the picture and could fight at either weight

I would like to see Frankie just go down to 35 if anything. As far as Faber switching weights according to who's champ, that could get weird, especially since Aldo would destroy him again and if Mendes wins, he won't fight Mendes anyway. So moving Faber going back up to 45 really makes no sense. He seems open to fighting Dillashaw, said if Dillashaw and the UFC wanted them to fight he'd consider it.

it only doesnt make sense from a rankings perspective which i dont care about, just like i dont care to see this porier vs edgar fight youve proposed

we have no idea when aldo and chad are even going to fight, cub and edgar just fought so a matchup is perfect

cub said he aint gonna beg but hes gonna sit there and wait?

If Faber beats Cub, he faces the same problem he would at 35. He would either get destroyed by Aldo or face Mendes. Featherweight already has enough contenders, so Faber should stay at 35.

If Cub is going to take another fight, it should be with Dustin, who should be ahead of Faber in line. Frankie at this point is behind Cub and Dustin, or at least he should be behind. What has Frankie done to get a fight with Cub before Dustin? What has Faber done to be ahead of Dustin? This is why moving between weights gets messy. Btw, Dustin just fought too in April.

I want to see Cub/Frankie.

I like Dustin, but you out here talking about this guy like he's fought elite comp. And like fighting Cub is some honor that needs to be earned.

Cub already beat Dustin. Dustin is coming off a win against Akira Corassani, which is cool and all, but....

As for what Frankie has done, well, he's won a belt in one division, fought the champ in the division to a decision. Has won 2 in a row. To Dustin's 3.

Pretty sure Frankie has been sitting ahead of Dustin in the rankings for a while now so I don't think Frankie winning last night is going to change that :lol

**** is a toss up. You could have any of those 3 fight each other and it would make sense, but I for one think a Cub/Edgar fight would be niiiiiiice.

Back to this weekend, I won money on Weidman. Homie wanted a bet and I took it. Great fight and great W for him.

Ronda was ******* surgical with it. Damn....

Was sad to see BJ go out like he did. I don't know what that ballet stance was all about.

But the man is a legend, and that won't change. LEGEND :smokin

I forgot that Cub already beat Dustin. That in itself is reason enough for him to get the shot vs Cub. Beating BJ really proved nothing though but beating Oliveria before that was impressive. I don't mind that Frankie/Cub fight at all.

Dustin is super young anyway he'll have his chances.

I'm hoping we see BJ give an explanation for the fight strategy. I'm sitting here thinking he's so damn nervous he just froze, but at the same time, not Baby Jay, he's not gonna freeze. When he was rattling off all those wins are lightweight, he was DESTROYING his opponents. Watching him and Anderson just drop these last few years has been :x ... but BJ is a legend.

He had the same strategy against Frankie as he did against Rory, Diaz and Frankie the second time they fought: be the opponent's punching bag

It was tough watching him get wrecked by bigger men in Diaz and Rory but at an even lighter weight than when he fought Frankie before, he was never going to be able to keep up with Frankie's footwork. It was seriously depressing to watch that fight.

BJ looked like he forgot how to box.

Tottering round on his toes pawing left and rights, **** was weird.

You could put any of those 3 in a ring and I would GLADLY watch. I just really want to see Frankie and Cub fight.

Cowboy/Miller and KoD/Brandao the same week. Not to mention my high expectations for Gunnar Nelson. Legit BJJ.

Cub vs Frankie makes sense and would be a great fight.

But its only a matter of time before Conor McGreGOAT takes over the 145lb division :smokin

They did the right thing and postponed 176.

Dominator is back vs. Mizugaki at 178. Great fight for Dom to shake off the rust and show us he still has it.

I was looking forward to seeing Jacare v Mousasi. I wonder what's gonna happen to all of the other fights that were scheduled for 176.

It might be a blessing in disguise, I would think all the fights from 176 can probably be rescheduled and used to beef up the cards in the near future.

Yeah they've already started moving some of the other fights to other cards. Green/Trujillo and Formiga/Makovsky were moved to Fight Night 47 and the women's fight was moved to 177.

Didn't really think about it, but the Cerrone v Miller card could be a big night for UFC when it comes to media coverage. With the MLB ASG on 7/15, the World Cup ending on 7/13 there's no other sporting events going on that day. So unless SportsCenter wants to show a bunch of highlights from the ESPYS and summer league games if they have any, UFC should be featured a lot on all of the sports highlight shows.

I'm disappointed that they had to cancelled the fight card completely. will this affect them coming back to LA to host a fight?

If I was a mma fighter I would think twice about throwing leg kicks. First it was Silva, then Spong, now this guy. Feels like more guys are gonna start checking kicks and this is gonna happen more often.
