"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

That Jerry Krause interview was a joke - totally reasonable to say “This is a great organisation from the owner through the team and all the other staff” - but he labored his point so clumsily trying to deflect from the team. That is different from an interview a decade later trying to make his role sound more important - he was clearly butt hurt at that time too - it was minutes after they’d won game 6.

He said the Bulls were the greatest organization ever after a whopping two titles

You can definitely see he was jealous of the players and wanted more credit. Everything he did screamed, what about me.

Then trying to make Toni Kukoc the future of the organization when you have the best player in the world and he was still only 30 was wild.

knowing that these two had a close relationship is dope af to me

Been out the shoe game for about a decade but this doc is slowly reeling me back in.

Low key regret selling my collection.

Nah, don't regret it. I'm at that point now. Once the motivation to buy something with no 2nd thought (just hit the buy button) wasn't there, and I hesitated to buy a shoe that a few years ago I would buy without question, I knew it's time. Sold 17 pairs so far and I got another 35 boxed up in the garage. Once this pandemic happened, I put it on hold as I'm not going into the UPS office to drop off and I'm not going to a FedEx Office to print out the labels (I don't have a computer and printer at home).

I realized that I'll always love sneakers, and will buy particular pairs (just ordered the fire red Vs as the last pair was my 2000 retro) but all the other non OGs I'm 95% not picking up. It has to be something really cool to go after (those Georgetown III's that may come out next year is tempting as I love the color. And the Carmine VI's are a double up. You get the idea).

But the $$$ I can get for everything will help if the pandemic lasts longer for me as I can't work due to being high risk being a liver transplant patient).

HE was actin like a blocking fat female friend when a dude (media) trying to holla at her girl (Pippen).

x 1,000!!! I felt like smacking MJ while I watched that scene. :smh:  Selfish egotistical prick!!! All cause he wanted to rush off to play golf.

So hearing how Jordan explain how he was over it ALL at the end of #3, do you still feel momentum was on their side and they could have definitely won 4?

No one can convince me that MJ's performance would suffer on the court because of personal issues. If he thought he couldn't give 100% he'd retire, he's said that before.

If he plays he's 100% committed. That's what the speculation was about, IF he played.

And again my comments were only about 4-straight, not 5-straight.

We weren't discussing personal issues though.

Would it be "personal" issues if his body was just physically exhausted?

He could play with full commitment but his body could have just been DONE.

Thats what he meant when he said he was done. He was mentally exhausted from the off-the-court media, scandals etc.

I don't think his body would have broken down, he would have been 31 in June of 1994, when the Finals were played. Lebron went to 8 straight, I think MJ could have done 4 straight.

Watching Jordan’s glass is one of the most hilarious subplots of this thing

He's gotta be able to market his Cincoro tequila he is part owner of (along with the owners of the Celtics, Lakers & Bucks) somehow. Having the glass level adjust makes people talk, lol.

Not sure what him being 31 has to do with anything, regardless of age an injury is always 1 second away from happening.
Nah, I am saying (since we are already in this hypothetical world), if he decided to physically comeback there is a possibility the wear and tear of the previous 3 Deep playoff runs just caught up to him.

He could still be committed but his body just wasn't right at the moment.

Again, my only gripe was the level of confidence in which people speak on Jordan winning anymore than 3 in a row.

I have no dog in the race since we have no way of knowing.

between ice levels and the drink levels, shh got me dying

If Adidas is smart, they need to retro those white/black mid halfshells that Jordan had on during the UNC practice in a hurry. Also, the Dennis Rodman joints by Converse need to be re released, the ones that ate based on his tattoo’s.

It wasn't as evident to us, but he was dealing with persistent injuries like a lot of the stars of his time, whether it was tendonitis, bad toes, wrist and back issues. He just played through a lot of that stuff. Not saying he would've broken down either, but good conditioning isn't enough. Good old fashioned luck factors into that as well. He had essentially played a year and a half of basketball through that 3rd title run.

If only the Bulls had brought the red away jerseys instead of this one.

I’m still in awe that I was able to win the only raffle I attempted for this colorway. I just needed one and got it! 🙏🙏🙏

Same here. I won from that late Nike raffle they had. When I got the notice that I had won, I couldn't believe it. Still stands as my 1 and only raffle win.

We can leave the 4 straight argument because it's getting nowhere.

But I do think the younger you are the more likely you are to avoid injury, play through an injury, or heal fast from an injury. This definitely seems harder when you're older.

That's why I said he was 31, still in his prime and not TOO old by NBA standards.

Yea I think you are underestimating the "perceived" randomness of injuries man.

The reason why I keep mentioning them coming off of 3 seasons playing close to 100 games because the amount of stress that puts on the body can't be ignored.

For that reason alone, I couldn't put any type of confidence in anything more than 3.

Also, we are simply speaking of Jordan.

Horace Grant was out.
Rodman wasn't there.

So that is a different, unknown, branch that has to be considered when talking about whether or not CHI would have done more.

Also, who is to say Pippen would have stayed healthy?

Too many variables to be so confident in the unknown.

This isn't NBA Live 96 where you can simply turn off INJURIES.

I understand all of that and you're right, but is what I said about age and injuries not true?

If you can provide some sort of evidence that supports that claim, we can talk about it.

Stress doesn't discriminate.

31 or 26.

3 deep playoff runs is 3 deep playoff runs.
