"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

A better question is HOW did they poison the pizza. I would like to hear THAT side of the story.

Is bringing up the Jordan Wizards stint, Pip playing in Houston and Portland, Kerr with the Spurs relevant to the story of the Last Dance?

My only issue is MJ executive producing it. It was a completely journalistic piece but oh well neither are the Michael Moore docs.

Also no Malone interview? Or reverence from Wade, Lebron, Kobe, Angelo, etc?
I think people just want more content.

Explaining where each part went after the Last Dance CAN be in connection with what was already produced.

But like folks said, those are the forgotten years. Lost Levels.

LeBron is from a different generation, a different athlete. His personality was formed through different societal norms, where feelings matter. Being a parent of two in their twenties, I saw the difference once my daughters got into school. That said, LeBron is exactly who he should be as is DRose, Steph Curry, DWade as well. Jordan came from a generation that normalized abuse, especially abuse coming from coaches. It did not make you tougher, it simply made you insensitive, numb to the feelings of others. So in the doc, then seeing his present day issues with Barkley, Pippen, and other athletes, it shows that Jordan still has deep seeded issues, mad insecurities, even though he has those six rings. LeBron is going to be way ahead of Jordan in this regard, especially when his career ends.

Mario Chalmers was Lebby's punching bag the entire Healthes run but sure "feelings matter"

Seeing where greats always end up before hanging it up is always cool trivia. In 20 years, I doubt many folks will ever remember Tom Brady on the Bucs unless they win it all.

I couldn't believe how many people didn't even know Montana played for the Chiefs when it was brought up that both teams in the last Superbowl were the two that he played for.

Was dope to see Jordan’s “entourage” and who he respected. Was a good idea by him to surround himself with older honorable men that really looked out for his best interests. Way too many athletes mess themselves up by surrounding themselves with negative people. Seems like MJ was the total opposite.

I was surprised to not see Malone. Wonder why he wasn’t in it.

Documentary was good but I felt it would have been great if it used more 98 footage. I felt that all the other recycled footage that many of us have seen several times could have been used separately for a diff documentary. The title was also deceiving. This was more a documentary on the Jordan Bulls than it was a documentary on the 97-98 Bulls season. They sprinkled in 98 footage here and there. I legit thought this would have been more like Kobe Doin Work. I legit kind of feel cheated, especially knowing that over 500 hours of footage is available.

Doc was basically a long 30 for 30. It was cool and all...but expectations were very high as this was so hyped up. Aside from the interviews I feel like there was legit 20 minutes of footage we ain't seen before.

Think of something you totally wouldn't do in making pizza.

Throw some super spoiled cheese in there with regular cheese. Maybe mix the sauce with something that shouldn't be ingested.

Malone was never a guy that sought out or enjoyed the spotlight. I'm sure he wanted no parts of reliving losing to MJ. Twice.

Fame is an odd thing. We mostly only see the highlights. The money, cars, women, etc but can you imagine the toll that would take on someone who is constantly living in the spotlight for as long as MJ did. I don't blame him for coming off as cold or insensitive. I bet he got burned by so many people that he thought he could trust. He will never be able to live his life without meeting people wondering what is the ulterior motive.
