the notion that Mitchell was anywhere near Hester on returns

You can't discredit Mitchell's rushing and receiving yards because Hester sucked outside of returning. Mitchell will have more TDs and yards all purpose then Hester once he retires. If we're gonna talk dynamic then put Dante Hall in the HOF too. For a period he was great but again outside of returning he was trash. Hester is a garbage receiver. Mitchell was useful outside of returning. He even covered on STs. Hester ain't tackling nobody.

I'd still take Sanders over Hester if given the choice in their primes. It's almost like Hester is the greatest strictly off TDs alone. What other position do we make a player GOAT off TDs solely? Besides that stat stuffer Rice.

Irvin > Rice

You can discredit it when they're being considered for the Hall for their return abilities only.

*All-Purpose, I think of someone like Marshall Faulk, Tomlinson, etc.

Not someone who racks up 25+ yards at a time per return. A little cheap, IMO.

Anyone see some of these new rule changes? Literally can't touch a QB anymore:

“Even if a defender is coming off a block and wrapping his arms, he must avoid making forcible contact with his helmet, shoulder, forearm, or chest.”

Will be interesting to see how teams change their strategy on kick offs now that touchbacks come out to the 25.

Dudes gonna be catching the ball 1-2 yards deep, and take a knee  :smh:

I HATE what's happened to kickoffs. Hate it.

Mitchell had 1070 career kick returns. (Punt and kickoff)
Hester had 566.

Mitchell has 9 Punt Return TD's and 4 Kick return TD's, 13 Total.

Hester has 14 Punt TD's alone.

*Also 5 kickoff returns, and 1 FG return.

It's not close, not even a little. Hester is the greatest kick returner in NFL history, if they can let a punter in, they can let a returner in, Hester should be that man.
Mitchell has over 4,000 rushing and receiving yards and 16 TDs. Great all around player. What's Hester's numbers outside of returning? Trash.
Devin Hester has 290 Rec, 3515 Yds, & 14 TDs, almost identical number, in 4 less seasons

Hester has more total TD's, period. Rushing, receiving, punts, kicks, passing, whatever, Hester has more. What are you arguing man?

As a "specialist", like a punter (Ray Guy) Hester deserves to be in, as the greatest returner in history. He owns the record. Not Mitchell, Metcalf, Hall, Deion, etc.

whatever happened to josh cribbs?

concussions?

Hester housing the opening kick off is literally the only thing I remember from that super bowl.

NFL is murdering my soul with these QB and kickoff rules. I really miss kickoffs. That **** is exciting to watch and had a big impact on the game. SMMFH. Next ten years, QBs will be out there with flags on and practice jerseys

Dante Hall was mad fun to watch.

Watching Josh Norman on First Take. He's gotta be mentally slow or permanently concussed. He's slow son.

DeAngelo Hall is still playing? I thought he was retired after those injuries.
