The Donald Sterling Thread

Even if Sterling fights the sale, he is gonna have to realize that the Clippers are no longer a viable spot to attract free agents. No one is gonna play for this fool.

Damn.

Silver went the Meth route and hit Sterling with essentially a IP ban.

And forcing him to sell the team.

Well he didn't care about losing for 20 years.

Sterling will sell the team eventually cause after this no one will want to play for him in the longterm...don't be surprised if the guys try to get out of their contracts this summer. He's old its too much of a hassle for him to keep it.

Where are all those people who were calling Silver just Stern 2.0 and chalking him up as a ***** when he took over? Still exist?

He might be banned, but he's still making money off the franchise like usual, right?

Like it's said, he didn't care about being a ****** losing franchise for 20 years.

Let's just hope he thinks he might as well cash out.

Silver already proving to be more about the welfare of the players than Stern ever was.

I'm sure she was sleeping with some of the athletes that's probably why we haven't heard an apology from Sterling

Well he didn't care about losing for 20 years.
The thing was that he was getting some revenue from sponsorship and decent fan attendance even with all the losing. He lost all his sponsorships now and most likely fan attendance is gonna be at an all time low if he keeps it by next year.

Why wouldn't he sell the team?

Did you guys see how much weak teams in small markets are selling for? The Bucks just sold for 550 MILLION. A team in a small market with no stars or potential.

He'd be crazy to turn down the insane amount of money the Clippers would bring in on the open market. It's not going to be worth the PR hit of keeping the Clippers.

Hopefully the players can find a way out if sterling doesn't sell.

If CP3 ends up in a laker Jersey some how silver will be the GOAT

The only weakness Silver is showing right now is in regards to any past issues with Sterling.

Which makes sense because A. he's not going to throw Stern under the bus and B. he only has power to handle the current situation.

Other than that, he's been awesome.

If the Clippers get sold to Seattle this will be the greatest sports year in the history of a person's life (mine)
