~| the DOM. KENNEDY thread |~

Again...I have liked every single Dom album or mixtape he's put out period. I remember playing New Jeeps in my dad's Grand Cherokee the summer that dropped. Driving up to the parking lot in high school listening to his music...

...but he got lazy. As much as I want to ride with this album im not gonna support a below average album. He has always been THE "go to" guy for summer.

I don't respect that. He sounds like a front runner when things are all good but now loyal fans are calling him out saying it took you 2 years for something mediocre like this and you don't man up? Its not our fault Dom the **** was trash and you charged people for it too.

Def wont be getting my money next time. You can take some other peoples money

Lmao other people's money haha

Smh why Dom mad ppl criticizing this album? What he expect?? With that attitude it sont seem like hes gon focus on improving his music again either...

Knew it was coming. Dude did the same thing when ppl criticized another project I forget which one.

It's on him though. All homie had to do was deliver us yellow album pt. 2 & everything would be straight.

Either way you put it this joint is a DUD.

Dude dont rly sound mad, just wasnt the results he wanted. Tape grew on me (in the gym surprisingly), still dont make sense that he charged for it (even tho it surprisingly made Billboard).

I just dont like how he put "listen to it again" like there was some kinda deeper meaning in each song :lol
Like FOH with that lol

Why do yall dudes hype on the yellow album so much :lol
Album was a huge disappointment also

Dude need to just skip making physical copies to By Dom Kennedy & just make em for his other old mixtapes instead lol

And I dont even like Yellow Album like that. I think its overrated too but its still good tho. Its forever gon be From Westside With Love 2 >>>>

I think OG Dom Kennedy, Future Street/Drug Sounds are better than Yellow Album

Tape is growing on me, but yes he needs to get back in the studio and gorilla market something better than this ish.. by August Dom!

It doesn't make sense? :lol you serious?

Was he suppose to make it a free project?

Yellow album is the goat...one of the smoothest albums I've ever heard. gold alpinas, pg click, etc>>

Tape rides from front to back. Pure quality

20k+ albums sold with no singles or real promo and him pocketing at least 70-80% of that 12 bucks per CD makes a LOT of damn sense to me, project being lackluster or not.

Yellow Album is classic. Smooth from front to back, no skips and it's one of the bad things about rap being in a mixtape era that it will never be regarded as a classic album like it would if it got a proper retail/album release and rollout.

Everything post yellow album is straight gahbage

And then he has the nerve to charge for the **** after takin so dam long to release music, dude cant even release a free EP cmon dawg, cant give 3 free tracks but wana charge for 9 sorry songs?

Aint even mean it in that way, Dom's a marketable dude but $12 for 11 track album wasn't a good look to me. GHS was $12 and I got 18 tracks and it felt like an album (alot of tracks were kinda introspective) this on the other hand seems rushed but that's not even the point we arguin. Truthfully I'm just saying just becuase you can sell it doesn't mean just put it out.

Not surprised his album sold well either there was some hype to this

I'm a huge Dom fan and his new music is usually the soundtrack to my summers, but I can't rock with this new album man :(
