"The Decision" in retrospect

Do I blame LeBron for leaving Cleveland? NO.

Did he do it in the worst way possible? YES.

Did LeBron tarnish his legacy by leaving? YES.

Pretty simple way of looking at this whole thing. Dont blame him, but his reputation definitely took a hit by doing so.

"Do I blame LeBron for leaving Cleveland? NO."
"Did LeBron tarnish his legacy by leaving? YES."

This kinda reads like a contradiction...

He didn't tarnish his legacy by leaving.

He tarnished it by going to Miami with 2 other All-Stars.

he goes to NY or Chicago, his legacy could have even potentially been amplified (NY for certain). Instead he chose to put a cap on it.

I moreso meant it in terms of how it was done and all that.

And tarnish may not even be the best word.  Depends on how he finishes.  If he does well, it's a blip.  Doesn't do well, tarnish.  But sort of a different way so to speak.  If that makes sense.

I dunno, just glad I ain't been battling in all these anti Lebron threads the past couple weeks.  I dunno why, he hasn't bothered me in a couple weeks I guess.  *shrugs*

<Oh? You don't want to "blame"' him for leaving, yet you want to say he "tarnished his legacy"

If you mean his legacy as a PLAYER, you wouldn't think that at all if you understood why he left in the first place.Fact is, the scorned here who **$#+ about him going to Miami (and the Kobe stans who also didn't like his decision of team he joined) are mad that he joined a squad with other great players. Which means they have NO understanding of the game in the first place and what it takes to win titles, or that they would rather see LBJ stay with a squad with a "playoff-bum" Mo Williams so when he doesn't win rings, they can **$#+ about him for not "winning titles".

--Luke, I already said I aint even mad about what team he joined. It was the manner of the process. The hour long show, the parade, etc...
--LBJ doesnt have a legacy...yet.

there is a difference between what he did and how others ended up paired with stars.

I am probably the biggest LeBron supporter on here, and even I can admit that.

So once again we're blaming LeBron for the failures of the front office.

What's absolutely amazing is that we kill guys who take more money instead of the chance to win. Aren't we taught that winning is more important than anything one can do individually? Yet LeBron sacrifices is dominance over a team and money in order to give himself the best chance to win. But he's a $@%%* for taking the easy way out.

Once again, list off NBA champions that did not have 2 All-NBA type talents on one team?

Believe me, I get what you're saying.

I am speaking on his legacy. It will never be what it could have been given he went to Miami where Wade already was.

Even if the reality is he's the better player (he is) or reason why they eventually win...the perception that it's Wade's team will trump reality.

Seriously, can ya'll see it?

This guy just tried to disrespect the NBA top 50 all time, just cuz.  Then said none of us know about the game of basketball because of how Lebron was thinking and choosing the Heat.

Like Lebron told him over the phone or some @#$%.  Givin me kind of an OC vibe here.......
