so can i order the correct bb30

then if i find cranks that fit a bb30

or do i need to find cranks that fit the specific bb30 kit i buy?

Yeah, sorta - but when you say BB30 bottom bracket what you need is just bearings. The bearings on those just press into the frame (and there’s a circlip behind which prevents them going too far) There aren’t separate cups that you press in - they are directly against the aluminum.

So it’s just bearings you need and then a press to fit them.
What you get looks like this - https://www.wiggle.co.uk/fsa-bb30-road-bottom-bracket

Then you need a chainset compatible with BB30 - not any specific type because BB30 is BB30.

I know SRAM make 30mm chainsets and FSA too. If you want something else you’ll need to fit adaptors - just push in Delrin things that allow narrower spindles to work.

Yeah, anything is fine really - you do get better quality bearings which last better from Specialist manufacturers though.

And that crankset is perfect.

we were riding bikes around bk the weekend before this past going to breweries but that's too much for my comfort right there

could be riding behind someone w/ them COVID-19 vapors

i wanted to wrap my frame, maybe a translucent color

this is my inspiration for this build, i thinki might find a translucent wrap and of course the gumwall tires

State has some fixies for that price range but that’s a hard price to get a road bike with gears.
Have you ridden any of their SS/Fixed? Was interested in the cheapest one "core-line". The other main competitor I saw in that price range were fyxation bikes. Just want a round town beater when I dont want to take my training bikes out.

No but it seems sometimes you get what you pay for from this review website: https://www.bikeride.com/state-bicycle-co-4130-core-line/

To be honest, I am the wrong person to ask with bikes cause I would rather pay top dollar for a good bike rather than going cheap and then paying to upgrade. But that’s me and I am sort of superficial when it comes to certain things. I think State is a good start for someone that is price conscious but just don’t expect a lot and then you won’t be disappointed.

No worries! Usually I dont mind spending the money the first time around to get something good. but this will be my around town lock it up bike. if it gets stolen while im at the brewery or whatever, I wont sweat it .

I just know much more about geared bikes vs SS/fixed.

Yea it was organized by @bikeridesforblacklives on ig. It was a lot of shorties riding too, some nice views when they on the bike lol.

I haven't gone on an organized bike ride in forever. Seems like once the lockdown started, they have all been cancelled since then. There's a monthly one down here every last friday where hundreds of people meet up in downtown.

Glad I wasn't the only one who peeped shawty. Stacked like a ****ing Cadillac

Man i got eagle eyes, whenever me and the boys are out and about i'm usually the first one to spot a baddie from yards away

Always enjoyed watching those How It's Made videos. They're both similar, but the second shows more of the carbon frame process.
