At some point he's going to have to take the long term though. I was thinking about it earlier. Once the decline really starts, so will his leverage and he'd be wise to take the 4-5 deal at that point. I see two more of these 1+1s coming (cause hes always going to opt out) before the 4-5 year.
Nope, he's signing 1+1 contacts to keep the pressure on the Cavs for eternity. So Lebron signing these 2yr PO deals gives Cavs all kind of Flexibility huh..
He may never sign a long term deal again, even when the TV money kicks in.

Missed it. Gonna watch tonight. Hopefully Harvey is done taking Ls
Watermelons to bananas. Jackie Robinson changed an entire outlook on people. Michael Jordan did not.
Hmm, interesting^
Cap holds.
If you want to get technical, him not signing a long term deal gives them less flexibility.
I think these latter years are what is going to separate Duncan and Kobe. Duncan is still competing at a high level while Kobe can no longer stay healthy.
That's because Kobe actually has to do things on the basketball court. Duncan just stands in front of the rim.

@WojYahooNBA: OKC's Enes Kanter is in Portland, preparing to sign an offer sheet with Blazers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Mj single handedly made people around the world think that all black people are good at basketball
Kobe ruin the laker franchise with His 48.5 contact. They haven't been the same since.
Meanwhile in SATX,

Thanks Duncan.
Great seeing all these other west teams implode while the Spurs re-up. Damn.
Kanter going to get a fat offer. I hope OKC lets him walk. Makes them weaker for the short term.
It seems reasonable no? He's going to be 33 at that point, he cant play like this forever, and a 5 year deal would carry him up until 38, thus avoiding the chance of him falling off inbetween that and getting out of that deal right around retirement age. Its the perfect scenario IMOSo, you're insinuating LeBron to decline in 2-3 more years? At some point he's going to have to take the long term though. I was thinking about it earlier. Everyone wants contract security, everyone. He's one of the richest athletes in the world. I don't think he needs the "security".At some point he's going to have to take the long term though. Thats why its watermelons to bananas. They both had cultural impact (IE they both are fruits) but the magnitude of said impact is not close, that is where the similarities end.He didn't? Not in the same way as Jackie Robinson obviously, but MJ has had a huge cultural influence.Missed it. Gonna watch tonight. Hopefully Harvey is done taking Ls

Was thinking the same but at the same time, I don't think he would be in the floor when it mattered for them in the postseason anyway
