Two pr today. 225 back squat and just kept going. 3x5 @225

Then 155 front squat. 3x8

I was just scared to try I guess. Wasn't that heavy.

Congrats dude!

Yeah I'd say a lot of the time I have mental hurdles when going for a heavy lift. Only way to get over it is keep working with it

Thanks man. Yeah, honestly I just didn't want to be that dude tipping over in the gym.

i never front squatted over 85# before today. I guess I was just hyped off the first so I went for another.

I want to be at 315 within 6 months we'll see. Squatting is all I'm trying to go heavy in. I'm good on benching 225+. Doesn't feel good on my shoulders.

Anyone ever had an ac joint seperation? If so, how long was your recovery time?

My recovery time was three months. I think. It was fifteen years ago so I can't be sure lol.

It wasn't a bad recovery.. I didn't need surgery or anything. I was just in a sling for some time and then I followed the physical therapy to the letter and I was back before I knew it.

Damn, 3 months is a super long time. I just started flag football season, and am almost 4 months into my cut. I haven't been to the doctor, but I'm sure that I have some type of ac joint seperation. I'm in a lot of pain when I move my shoulder a certain way, and the top of my collar bone is protruding. Ithe happened yesterday, I played another game after it, and had some discomfort but I wasn't in pain until this morning. It's most likely at type 1 seperation.

Oh damn. Flag football season is going to have to wait. :/

Yea I think I remember something protruding too. Can't be sure. What I remember most is that I couldn't stand straight. I was hunchback and leaning to one side.

I can't believe the details of this injury is so foggy to me. I can tell you all about my torn acl like it was yesterday :lol and these injuries weren't so far apart

Lol my embarrassing moment of the day. I was doing jerks and dropped 210. Too tired to clean it back up. My coach puts it back on the rack like it was 130 pounds. He didn't need to warn up. Nothing. :lol

Tried squatting today and normally I just go througu the slight pain (hip flexor) and today was just not working. Few sets in and called it quits and proceeded to do a back routine, I did deadlift which I havent in months, and it felt good.

Im thinking just let my flexor rest, I let it rest 2-3 weeks last time and didnt help too much, maybe not enough rest bleh.

What pre-workouts are yall using? I'm on C4 right now but I dont really feel much of a boost with it. My coworker gave me a scoop of this one called The Curse and I had the best back workout of my life with it :lol. I def wanna try something else when I'm done with my C4. Any recommendations?

Pre Jym or Pre Kaged. Nothing else comes close. Pre Kaged was created as a direct competitor for Pre Jym.  C4 is garbage.

We gotta be related bruh. Same happened to me Saturday. Sucks a**

Anyway I love how my "chest day" turned into a shoulder therapy day. Smh. It's coming from a trigger point right on top of the middle of the scapula. When I roll on it the pain pierces through straight to my shoulder

Chest development but they are supposed to be done on v-bars so your hand position is similar to a diamond push-up. I honestly don't know how anyone is doing them on parallel bars.

How does that target your chest better than pressing, regular dips, push ups , and flys?

I still cant understand how a "fitness guru" invented this. Those mechanics are all f up

Hand position forces you to flare your elbows just like diamond push-ups putting the stress on your chest instead of your tris. It is not very difficult to understand... It's basically a diamond push-up moving your body through space instead of leveraging your body off the ground. If you've ever a done a lot of different push-ups you understand that the more you rotate your palms out the more your chest gets hit.
