He's been spamming the Acutane for the acne. But he's actually taking his nutrition seriously now. No more dozen donuts or half a box of cinnamon toast crunch before lifts.
 
I guess he doesn't want to die before he makes it to 30.

He's probably already done damage to his body with the roids and bad diet.
 
I might just switch my cardio to incline treadmill walking

I got the stamina and energy for the stairmaster
But as soon as I feel it in my knees I’m off that ****

Stairmaster is my fave cardio machine but my knees can't take more than 2 20 min sessions per week. Even stationary biking has been hurting lately. #washed

I'm going on vacation out the country for a much needed healing and recovery time.

It’s just a knee thing with me I’m going to give it a shot after weight training though if the knee starts tripping I’ll switch to some other cardio

Real talk... sometimes I feel cheated... for growing up not knowing about... certain rest and recovery resources. I never knew I needed... and never had access to... saunas, manicures and pedicures, massages, and other little things... that would have helped me relax, recover, and compete better. I feel me never reaching maximum relaxation... was at times... the reason I was injured... during specific competitions.

With that being said... in 2024... I hope everyone is balancing maximum training... with maximum relaxation.

I am no longer mad... because today... I feel like I have every rest and recovery resource... that I need.

It's not really a spa trip. I'm going to the serengeti to take pics of animals from a rover but my body will get 1 whole week of no strenuous activity before I start training for my next comp.

Someone my coach knows is opening up a spa by our gym, I'm adding that to my weekly. Wifey also started pilates which may help with my overall stretching and mobility. Anything to keep the washedness away.
 
track morning & late night lifts, working on these cleans once a week…the catch is murdering my wrists when i miss/don’t get the bar high enough, need to get better at the lowering part to get more under the weight to catch on my collar/shoulders rather than my hands 😮‍💨

What protein powder do you guys recommend? Nothing too expensive

Sorry, my initial reaction is often facetious sarcasm.

I do favor whole foods - been eating a really clean and simple diet for the last 14 months now - 65lbs down as of this week and feeling pretty good. I do eat grilled chicken pretty regularly - it's a staple with lunch or dinner with a big bowl of veggies.

I do also use this protein powder though - usually in the morning in a vegetable smoothie. Good flavor (I usually get the vanilla and the peanut butter for some variety) and I haven't had any issues with it. Gets me a couple of portions of fruit and vegetables in first thing and the protein helps me feel fine until lunch.
