STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

getting close to hitting the arbitrary number of the 60” box jump, my knee is definitely punching air right now tho

Impressive dude :pimp:

Any particular reason why you approach at the corner or you just more comfortable landing there?

Kali Muscle looks like a car channel now. Man ain't gonna be around long eating like that. Didn't he already have a heart attack?

The name is at the bottom of the post. It's most def a real person

🤝🏿 i stand corrected…looks unreal to have all that muscle yet still maintain a feminine face plus there;s some weird filter on some of the vids…

She does look like AI.

i’m saying tho 😂😮‍💨

i think that’s just where i happened to land because it was just more comfortable for my right-left foot approach, if i was working on my left-right foot approach it probably would be the opposite corner. also because the blue 18” box was worn down in the center/middle edge (which in hindsight i maybe should have just changed the orientation but the center edges are often worn down on all the boxes) and the corner was more solid i think i intuitively moved closer & closer to the edge after failing a bunch of attempts in the center 😂

i don’t know if it was a heart attack but he had some serious health scare, then he finally came clean about not being natural…

Dudes at my job be watching these guys that call people out. I just don’t see why people care that much. To take time out of your life to make content “exposing” someone else just seems weird. Worry about your damn self
Certain people make sense to call out.

A lot of these influencers have followings that pay $ for their programs, and doctored photos or the use of steroids perpetuates a false hope that they can reach the posted physique or shape naturally.

Example: liver king.

1rm without warming up is wild

Needing to warm up to hit 2 plates is wild.

I haven’t even done barbell bench since I got back in the gym, just been doing dumbbell. I wonder what I could get. I’m doing 60s for my last 2x10

Always been trash at benching so I just never cared about it, I think the most I did was 205

not sure if seriously…a max attempt, is a maximum effort endeavor regardless of strength, most are not going to be able to casually hit their max without progressing to that point to some extent & that didn’t appear to be the case here

same, barbell bench just isn’t a priority for me/what i want to accomplish…rarely does it ever make it into the workout routine, even then i progress the movement very incrementally to that maximum weight, if even 😮‍💨😂

No way I'd go for a one rep max without warming up. Just the thought of doing it hurts.

No doubt it was edited but I also don’t think he gave them a chance to warm up.

More importantly, I’m back to repping 245 on incline and can consistently hit a 5x5 for 225 on incline.

Dead seriously.

I don't joke about my gym ish.

Warming up is only an issue if your muscles and connective tissues are cold, right? So somebody weak enough to be failing 225 for 1 shouldn't need to warm up as much, especially if they were already in the sun and working out. Keeping your muscles tight also decreases the need for warming up by a lot.

The higher the max in terms of actual mass, the more time it's gonna take to warm up to get there. I've hit other people's maxes without warming up before because those folks were weaker than myself. People that are stronger than myself can hit my maxes cold too.

tl;dr: You and I aren't on the same gym playing field when it comes to the Big 3, very few folks ITT are, so feel free to disagree but I'm not tripping either way.

I didn't lose out on 200 easy bucks either.

Yall acting like the video is one take and not edited.

funny thing is i’ve actually seen the full vid 😂, he does give some a slight warmup but it seemed that the point was to see if they could hit their stated max on the spot…

Dead seriously.

theoretically, one could be properly warmed but still not have prepared their nervous system to hit their max for a particular lift…sure, we are all on different levels…that’s the point isn’t it? if my max is 2 plates i gotta work up to that weight, if someone maxes at 3/4 plates that person could maybe easily get my 225 without particularly being warm but won’t be able hit their own 3/4 plate max without progressively getting there, as you note.
