I didn't knock ante for go heavy, sorry if that's how it came across.

What I criticized was dudes going heavy and not through FROM...then laugh at air squats, looking very ignorant to the fact that air squats can actually help your gains indirectly..

Curious by what you mean when you say FROM (full range of motion) because there is such a thing as going too low.

Going too low isnt a problem, poor positioning and bad posture is the problem.

Coffee is the only pre I use and only if I workout in the AM

Try this warm up:

400m run
40 air squats
30 sit ups
20 push ups
10 pull ups
(4:12)

Did it after a metcon: time 3:58

Good times.

Dude in the "correct" figure is damn near vertical. Almost physically impossible to do that while bearing a significant load.

Come again?

that's a front squat...

It's all about hip mobility, if you have that flexibility to open up your hips you can go a*** to grass while keeping your back straight.

Squat holds and air squats help with that bro

And here is a back squat...back looks pretty close to vertical to me

i'd say another often over looked skill for squats is ankle flexibility. ankle flexibility is really important to get your knees out to be able to get into that deep squat position.

i know that was minutes :lol
c'mon guys. i did that 150 squat thing today and i know what kind of numbers these guys do. maybe i should have said 4 weeks and 12 days to make it more obvious.
