Lol why did they deploy snow troopers on Crait lol

"Snowtroopers were also involved in the Battle of Crait shortly thereafter.[3] Although Crait was only superficially a snowy planet due to the white dust obscuring red crystals on the ground, it nonetheless had similar enough properties to necessitate their deployment in the battle.[7]"

Guess Crait was suppose to be bit cold. Specialized equipment and training for more effective assault. And we know the sequence was to mimic Battle of Hoth. That top down shot entering base reminiscent of Anakin Skywalker's Order 66 entrance to Jedi Temple.

Personally would like to see additional specialized Troopers i.e. Biker Scouts in ROTJ for Episode IX. Give us Empire Guys more stuff to build.

I can't believe I'm saying this but after seeing The Last Jedi last night, I wish JJ Abrams directed all three movies.
JJ is Presi plain Jane as hell to me. Won't be a bad movie, but it won't be remarkable. Plus flare shots.

Disney has no idea how to craft a trilogy. With a franchise as big as SW they ought to have spent the money to film all 3 movies over the course of a year using JJ and released the films consecutively every holiday.

They could release the origin/prequel films in the summer.

I will say aesthetically the First Order is legit

As long as the next movie doesnt go all Matrix Sequels with Rey and Kylo flying through the air like Neo and Agent Smith then bring it on

And stop st st st studdering Benicio

One of the things I feel like is limiting Disney’s creativity with these new Star Wars films is the fact that they’re releasing one every year. The main saga only has two year gap in between. I think more time should be inbetween films. Release two SW films in one year if you just have to (anthology and saga) but I think the three year gap would benefit the films more

They HAD to start 10 full years before the sequel? Nah man.

They coulda done all that while Anakin was 15-18 and already a Padawan learning under Obi-Wan.

Rewatched phantom menace for the first time since I saw it in theaters. Hated jar jar so much I never watched it again.

Aside from that awful character and some continuity, it was a prettt good movie. And really sets up how Darth Vader came about. The pod races and all that led up to it established Anakins potential and convinced Qui Gon he is the chosen on. Without that he doesn’t have the conviction to press the matter with the Jedi council who sense a dangerous fear in him and are very reluctant to train him as a Jedi.

Fans of TLJ probably rather just skip the backstory though

Darth Maul still one of the baddest characters of all time

Maul as mysterious as he was actually DID something. He was the face of all the marketing for the film around that time too. Snoke didn’t do anything and you ain’t gonna see him on birthday cups or book bags

The movies don't give us Darth Maul's backstory and yet he continues to be superior to Snoke in every way

Ray Park doing cool flips and **** - and, y'know, actually swinging a laser sword

The establishment of the Sith in the narrative as this quiet, dormant menace

The fact that he is clearly a minion of who would become the Emperor

The revelation that there are only two Sith at a given time and Maul was just another piece in Palpatine's grandiose, long-term machinations - a small part of the true Phantom Menace

Maul >>>> Snoke

Benecio was clearly underwhelmed by his role so had to create something ridiculous like that stutter to give him some type of meat to it. He was so pointless. Rose could’ve been a hacker. It would have given her more to do.

I know Hollywood don't wanna typecast no more, but Rose would've been a more believable hacker than Fiddy (Escape Plan), Luda or Rhi Rhi (upcoming Ocean's Eight).

Actually, one would think they are typecasting hip hop stars as hackers now!

It's crazy to think of it in that context, how this will be remembered by the next generation.

How much you wanna bet this generation of kids gonna be saying the same thing about the sequel trilogy?

It’s like poetry....it rhymes

With Marvel literally changing cinema in front of us, this generation of kids won’t even remember what Star Wars is

I'm pretty sure Disney is going to force feed star wars to them steadily for a while. No pun intended

I heard, and with sw land going up in 2019, I'm pretty sure Disney isn't sweating much these days.
