I watched his duel in EP 3 last night.....just pisses me off more.

"Anakin the Sith are Evil!!!"

"In my opinion the Jedi are evil!!!!"

Uh.........you were a Jedi 15 minutes ago helping Mace track down the Sith you'd been looking for.......

:{

Two decades worth of time to prep/write/think, we made his fall quick as a light switch. :(

So stupid.

The Jedi became evil once he saw Mace was gonna kill Palpatine without a hearing/judge/jury/trial.

Nevermind the fact he starts killing the same way shortly after. Being told Padme and his baby were dead also pushed him in to the ignorant can’t tell me nothing point of no return.

He spent 15+ years as a Jedi. He wanted nothin more than to be in their lil Master club, his two mentors were Jedi, and one Jedi wanting to execute a Sith Lord makes the entire Jedi Order evil? :lol

It was atrocious writing. It's ok to say it. We had 3 full movies to work with, he flipped in a 15 minute span. That's really poor planning.

It’s more like he wanted to learn from Qui-Gon. Then he stayed with the Jedi based on that and befriending Obi but he didn’t really respect or like anybody in the same way. All the rules and limitations annoyed the **** out of him once he was a part of their group. Never understood their being so cautious around him and saw it as distrust. Then his mom died while he was off training for something he felt they’d never give him.

Then a Sith Lord manipulated him for a few years during the war and once he saw some hypocrisy from the Jedi he was ready to jump ship. It was Palpatine that made him a master not them. He thought he could have his wife and family if he stayed by Palp’s side. Also the idea of bringing his mom back to life also pushed him there

The frustration of being with the Jedi for 15 years, love for Padme, Padme being pregnant, his mom dying,Palp’s manipulation, Mace being judge jury and executioner all pushed him there all the faster. Given the fact hatred already existed in his heart since he was a slave.

It wasn’t written well but all the reasons for it were there.

In the 2 movies, grown up Anakin never seemed happy or satisfied with the Jedi.

but he did the same when palps told him to scissor cut dooku's head off 🤣
That was cuz Dooku was clearly the enemy in the middle of a war who had beaten him before and almost killed him last time.

With Mace and Palp, Anakin was still unwilling to fully accept Palp was evil or that he was the mastermind behind the entire war. All he saw was a Jedi trying to kill his friend/mentor.

Also by that point Palp had fully manipulated Anakin

That's the definition of "oh, that was different" :lol

He beheaded a man that was clearly defeated. Judge/Jury/Executioner.

And once Anakin "defeated" Mace cutting off his arm, Palps blasted him away. "What have I done????" Hey, go kill some kids real quick. 👍

And there's a HUGE gap between he didn't get his rank as Master, a sensitive Jedi helping the Republic to ok, you're a Master Sith go kill everybody you see. HUGE gap man. :lol

I surely know Palps knew his weak spot with Padme but that is an enormous jump from Jedi Hero to Sith mass murderer in just a few minutes. He spent 15 years hearing/learning about the Sith, a Sith kills his first mentor, finds the 2nd Sith Lord hiding in plain sight, exposes him, sees he killed 4 Jedi in an instant but doesn't get what Mace is doin? :lol

That was war baby.

He should’ve never lopped off Anakin’s hand.

That was when Anakin was like in for a penny in for a pound

Again, none of it was written well but the reasons for his turn and betrayal were all there.

He spent 15 years hearing about Sith to never see this alleged enemy but he saw a lot of what the Jedi did and what they believed in action which he felt was wrong or not enough. Too many half measures too many wrong decisions.

Quite a discussion going on today
