Come on man...so the vid shows him leaving 3 minutes before...  Let's say you walk out the club, get in your car drive off, then hear the next morning, next day...that somebody got shot...you didn't see, hear, or witness, the shot.  Then they ask...

     Cops:  Where were you when the shooting took place...
     You:  Maaaaaaaan I was long gone before that, I don't even know what happened

Doesn't that seem reasonable to you?  Then they start pressing you on what time you left...don't know about you but I have rarely checked the clock before I left the club so you assume one time when its really another and give a statement like.."oh we left like 20-30 min before that...?"

I'm not saying Vick is innocent but these latest developments don't prove anything besides he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I guarantee that Vick got word that Phillips was shot BEFORE he got home....he had to have known that something went down at the club before he went to sleep that night.  His phone was probably blowing up minutes after the shooting.

It's not just that he's possibly lying about a simple time issue, it's how the lie relates to his possible involvement. If he left 20-30 minutes before the shooting, a reasonable person could assume that the shooting was something that unfolded without any involvement from Vick, who had left half an hour before. But if it's 3 minutes, a reasonable person could assume that Vick was around when the drama started, and may have been directly involved in it. If you want to be cynical, you could say he knew his boys were about to "handle" the guy, and he left so that he wouldn't be around when it happened, although he knew full well that it would go down and didn't stop it.

That's why the lie about the timing is troublesome for Vick.

Vick just made the situation worse by lying. If he just would of said "I was at the party, but I was gone before the shooting took place." he would have been cool, but his lawyer said he was "loooong gone"? He needs to fire that lawyer, bad legal advice.

  True but you can't assume he's involved because of the stories inconsistencies.  They could be honest mistakes on his part surrounding where he was and when.  That's all I'm saying.  Unless this tape shows Vick pulling a trigger or multiple witnesses come forward and say Vick instigated, shot, and/or hung with dude...the latest development are pretty hollow IMO.

Word on the street is dude crashed the party, tried to come at Vick (tried to smash cake in his face or something...) security escorted him out but he hung around and wound up gettin shot.  I could see Vick not trying to have anything to do with this cat, trying to bounce, and one of his boys gettin' heated and taking it too far.  He coulda got scared and lied, but I am still not convinced he lied.
