This past weekend someone broke into my apartment through one of my roommate's window. There's 4 of us that live here and we all keep our bedroom doorslocked when we're not home. They stole all of our computers but they took two of my roommates' subwoofers and their 12 inch flat screen. Out ofeveryone I got off the easiest cause all they stole from me was an old Compaq laptop and some Chris Rock DVD. But as if this situation wasn't already%&%d up enough two of my roommates decide that we need some new house rules and one of them is that my little sister should not be allowed into ourapartment if I'm not home.

First of all my sister, who was with me,and an hour away from our apartment at the time of this break in has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that we got robbed. Even when she is there and I amnot, she has my key to the apartment and up until our doors got broke into, she always was in my LOCKED bedroom watching MY TV IN MY ROOM THAT I PAY RENT TOSTAY IN. The only reason they even know she's there is because they constantly come knock on my door and she answers. After their little proposition forthese new "house rules" did not go in their favor, we all argued and they threatened to call the police the very next time my sister is in my ROOMwhile I'm not on the premises, ultimately we are no longer friends and I'm moving out. In most cases I'm not one to ask what others think, but Ihave never heard something so ridiculous as someone threaten to call the cops on someone that is not bothering them in any form or fashion. Are there actuallypeople aside from these two that feel the same way or understand where these two idiots are coming from? I sure would like to know.

Cliff notes:
-Apartment got broke into
-My room mates had more stuff taken away from them than I did
-They're mad and can't figure out who to blame
-Reach the conclusion that my sister who has nothing to do with any of this should not be allowed in MY ROOM that i pay rent to stay in, if I'm not home
-They threaten to call the cops if they see her there again without me
-We argue
-I will be moved to a new apartment tomorrow

And just for craps and giggles I asked the leasing office what their policy was on visitors in an apartment while their escort is not on the premises, theylaughed when I told them the story and said that unless it was some unruly person that was causing real harm to the well being of the others who live there, they won't do anything, and most likely the police won't either.

They're being ridiculous.

Good riddance I suppose.

they just still mad the fact that they stuff got stolen...talk to them about it after a week after the simmer down

Pics of your sister?
Ok forget the pics.
How old is your sister?
I think this is something that should at least be discussed.

When living with people you always gotta clarify the little things.

One of our random roommates is South Korean, she too ismoving. Ironically it's my "friends" (who are also black) that suggested this dumb idea.

Your (ex) roommates are clowns. I've had roommates before, and it's more than a pain in the !$! to deal with at times. But it just seems to me thatthese 2 morons are just looking at a way to get back at you because you had less things stolen than them....

You know the old saying...Misery loves company.

But in all actuality it's not really an L either. I wanted a new computer anyway, I just wished I had renters insurance prior to this, but when I called toget a quote, the agent offered me a job when she found out I was already familiar with insurance and had worked for the company she sales for. I didn'tlike living there with them anyway, so this instead is a WIN for me.

word...

did they already not like your sister?
They never had a problem with my sister, they even "adopted" her as their own little sister, and one of them that doesn't have a carsure didn't mind that my sister was there when she wanted a ride to the grocery store or to work or to get food and party. BUT now since the robbery havingher in my room is a risk of our safety. Come on.

were they ok w/ her having a key...

my roommates bf had a key to our old apartment...i didn't mind cuz i gave it to him and we all got along including the other girls that lived there so itdidn't matter to us...

How much time did your sister spent at your place. If she's not paying rent and watching as much TV as you claim, shes running up the utilities I'msure you all had to pay. Eating Food. and why does she have a key to your place, chillin in there so much and not paying rent? I would have kicked the broadout.

If it were me, I would be suspicious too. especially since you barely got swiped of anything of true value and everyone else got it idb

nope all wrong. our rent includes all utilities cable and water, she has meal points and money and has never eaten anything that belongs to them.she doesn't have a key to my place I let her use mine. she has a dorm of her own and is not over there on a constant basis. and trust if you seen whatthese two have compared to what me and my sister have or are capable of getting you would know that she would have no remote interest in taking anything fromthem including asking to be their friend. and it's not my fault that the unidentified robber(s) took more from them than me. they had more electricalappliances and on top of everything else, my sister wouldn't steal from them but she damn sure wouldn't steal from me!
