The lack of acontract extension was a big reason why Jason Kidd wanted to leave New Jersey, but rumor has it that there is no talk of him getting one in Dallas either,according to The Star-Ledger.
"It's just business," Kidd said of New Jersey. "We had a great run. Sometimes, with moves, business gets in theway. The sad thing is, nobody there is left from when we started the whole thing. I guess you could say they're starting over."

The Pacers canextend the contract of forward Danny Granger anytime between now and the end of October, and it appears as though he could receive a deal similar to the onethe 76ers gave Andre Iguodala, according to The Indianapolis Star.
Granger and Iguodala had somewhat similar numbers last season, and Iguodala got a six-year extension worth $80 million fromPhiladelphia.
RealGM Note: Pacers GM David Morway told RealGM during the first week of August that they had yet to open up negotiations withGranger.
Granger was 46th in the NBA in season FIC and 'deserved' to make $11.11 million during the 07-08 season. Iguodala was ranked20th and 'deserved' to make $13.76 million and was 21st during his own third season in the NBA.

The DallasMavericks have signed forward Devean George to a two-year contract worth roughly $4 million, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein.
Agent Mark Bartelstein told ESPN on Wednesday that the deal includes a player option for George to return to free agency after the2008-09 season.
The agreement comes as a surprise to some after George's controversial refusal in February to be included in the Mavericks'trade with the New Jersey Nets for Jason Kidd.
