What about MD? Crack down on BMore, problem solved. The rest of MD is fine. You can't blame everything on guns, if someone is going to kill, they will find a way.

Maryland does not regulate the sale of rifles or shotguns and no permit is required to purchase a rifle or shotgun.
Make gun regulation stricter so that honest and law abiding citizens can't get guns. While criminals continue to buy with ease. Smh.
How would stricter regulations affect you if you're a law abiding person?
Again, you want MD as a whole to pay for what some people dude. Once again make it hard for law abiding citizen while the criminals are going continue buying them with ease. Now, does MD not do a background check? Or maybe a waiting period?
Stricter regulations would ONLY effect law abiding citizens. Criminals will continue to obtain firearms illegally, regulations or not.
The majority of gun fatality's in the US are perpetrated with illegal weapons by those already involved in illegal activity. Changing the laws to reduce the amount of legal gun owners wont do anything to curb crime.
That's what people don't realize. More gun laws only make it hard for regular people to get guns.Make gun regulation stricter so that honest and law abiding citizens can't get guns. While criminals continue to buy with ease. Smh.
yes is going to affect me ... To the point that the state might not even accept my application. Just like high cap magazines. Its illegal .. come on. If you know criminals are going to circumvent the system, why make it hard for honest people? Maybe that law you want end up coasting someone's life in a home invasion. You brought up NYC/DC...I brought up MD. What I would like to see is a nation-wide regulation...NOT just for individual states.
Of course people will circumvent the law. It happens all the time. However, making things a little stricter as far as purchases go isn't going to hurt. If you're a law-abiding citizen, is it going to affect your life that much if you have a 30 day wait period for a gun opposed to having one right away? Yes, you have constitutional rights to bear arms, but times are changing in this world. You will STILL have that right...but there should be a wait period, IMO.
I'm obviously not a law-maker, but it's going to be interesting to see what comes of this especially since it happened no more than 20 minutes outside of DC.

not to get off topic, but that's why you see more innocent (drug users) people in jail than no **** full blown while collar criminals that are affecting thousands of hard working families, because of the system.Exactly.
Its like the war on Drugs.... All stricter regulations do is create a more profitable black market for those who are willing to break the law.
You realize you just contradicted yourself, right?
I'm not making the laws, so it's tough to say. You're ASSUMING that I want to feel like I want to live in a society where there is no violence, but that's putting words in my mouth. I never said such a thing.
All I'm suggesting is that there needs to be some sort of reform done to our current MH laws. Make the gun purchase regulations more strict going forward. Obviously, it's two different things...but look at the hoops your have to jump through to buy a house. Going under contract is one thing...but then you need your inspection, appraisal, walk though- etc. Whole thing (if running smoothly) takes about a month + to complete. Buying a weapon should slightly more difficult than just strolling into sports authority and walking out w. a gun 10 minutes later.
Because it doesn't need to be changed. You don't compromise on what's already right.
Based off of what?
I love how you state your opinion as fact.

compromise on your rights? Yeah, let me bend over and screw the ones that have fought and died to continue giving us the rights. Smh at your ignorance ..It's frustrating to see a lot of pro-2nd amendment people refuse to accept ANY type of compromise regarding gun control. They want it their way or nothing at all.
So you do compromise on what's right? I always thought Compromise came from when people couldn't come to a consensus on a issue. The laws are already on the books.
Am I missing something?
