Serious question for white people: What makes you proud of your race/culture?

If you can't go across the pond, just go to different parts of this countrywhere many descendents are.

Cultures differ, skin coloration just happens to be a commonality.

I'm proud of being Irish because what my family has gone through. A lot of my family has fought for Northern Ireland and fought against the prejudices andhatred that still go on there.

Once again...for the third time...I asked the question...expecting it to be answered from that SPECIFIC person's POV. I'm not dumb...Iunderstand and have acknowledge that white people consist of people from many different backgrounds. Example...I'd expect a person from an Italian orGerman background to come in and give an answer from THEIR POV. Some people in here have done JUST THAT...I don't know how that's hard to understand.

Race is an automatic catalyst to make you feel like YOU belong...Honestly I've dated Black, Asian, White,
and Spanish women and my friend circle is constructed of STRONG people for different ethnic backgrounds.

and in this world only the strong survive. Pride is totally different, pride is what you see
at the many annual parades in NYC expressing love for your race.

And BET is actually become a SICK CRY FOR HELP FROM WEAK AFRICAN AMERICANS.
BET allows WEAK MINDED BUFFOONERY TO FLOURISH...All the strong BLACKS take leading

To be honest I've never really thought about it much. I know I am very proud to be an American.

IMO, white American's have pretty much lost any sense of Pride in being white. Not that they hate being white, or wish they was another color. But because,if you are remotely Pro-White in America you are considered racist, prejudice, or a member of the KKK.

I think this is a good answer. It's controversial for sure. But it is true. People tend to want to identify themselves with something tofeel like they belong. This is why gangs are popular is poor areas. People want to identify themselves with something because they lack it in their householdor something.

My last name is of English decent and I have German and Irish in me as well. However, I don't really identify with any of those cultures because I viewmyself as an American. I was born here and have lived here my whole life (with the exception of Spain for a year right after I was born) so this is all Iknow. One day I'll go find my name in record books and what not in Europe but it's not something I feel the need to have as a part of my life rightnow. I'm not as much "proud to be white", as you put it, as I am proud to be me and I'm sure it would be that way regardless of what race Iwas. Race doesn't really mean anything to me at all.
