Poach players in the expansion draft from other teams with restrictions. Can't remember exactly how restrictive it is. You obviously can't draft Luka from the Lakers but you should be able to get some decent guys to fill out the roster and I believe you'll draft in the regular draft as well, not sure which slot though.

It will be reset but generally each team needs to make available 3 players - the Sonics would then have the 2nd or 3rd pick I believe (not first)
If you recall the Knights had a great strategy - they took bad contracts on from teams for picks - will be curious if the Sonics are able to finagle at all

It'll be interesting to see how much the Blazers are sold for if Boston went for 6.1 bil. Somewhere in the 3-5 range? Or does some group go crazy and overbid??

Actually listened to this a few days back so here's what I remember:plz humor us with the cliff notes
-GP talks about getting his first sig Nike shoe and what that meant as opposed to having to wear a generic Nike or Jordan
-Brings up getting drafted by the Sonics and how that came to be. He did say he thought about coming out a year earlier for the draft but that he didn't like the potential teams he'd have gone to
-Talks about the father he was to GP2, mistakes made, his son following in footsteps going to OSU
-Credits his father for the man he became and how having a man in his life impacted his youth and kept him in line
-Brings up Kemp, how they were the OG lob city, their chemistry on/off the floor and working with him in the cannabis industry
-Talks about helping out the younger generation, becoming a head coach and mentoring young players.

Just watched the clip you posted and not the full yet either, but it sounds like a power play. We all know who the favorites are, but to me it's a combination of a couple things. Just speculation on my part, I haven't listened to everything or gotten a ton of input.
They (NBA) want to make all the cities put forth their best bids, get their best funding, get the most promises for arenas, and pull out all the stops.
When he talked about the dilution of competition, to me that reeks of current owners who haven't been able to win (your Washingtons, your Charlottes) complaining about delaying the entry of MORE franchises that will sap up enthusiasm and ticket sales and fans and then if they win a championship before the Wizards or Hornets, those franchises will be looked at as (even more of a) jokes.
But let me find a link to the full thing. I don't even care though, I'm about to start rocking my Sonics stuff. Just picked up the Nate Rob EQLZ stuff and wanted to get this hat but it's $45

Yea I had a long drive and listened to this segment then pulled up the podcast replay to see if they had any additional discussion afterwards (they didn’t). It was more interesting to listen to them talking about one of their guys (Dylan the graphics guy) who smashed 9 hot dogs and 9 beers in 9 innings the previous night. He said he added some mixed drinks and extra beers, had 18 beers/drinks total
Back on topic, if the NBA expands why would they finalize their media deals first and then expand after? Doesn’t that dilute the $ to go around? Seems like all owners would not go for that…? Why not expand then negotiate a larger deal so everyone makes more
