It could be, but I wonder if they want to do it like the WNBA did it. Like, boom, here are 2 new franchises coming in 202X. And then in 2032 we have 2 more, in Europe. And then in 2034, maybe more.
But it's gonna happen in my opinion. I certainly thought it was going to happen before now though. Waiting til summer AGAIN sucks. But I got my gear and I'm ready.

I mean...its going to an actual vote this time for the owners. I haven't seen a strong argument yet as to why owners wouldn't approve.

Adding two teams means more pieces of the pie to split, including the new TV deal. Owners are all of a sudden cautious that any expansion fees would be negated by the two teams taking from the massive TV revenue pot. I'm guessing they'll meet in the middle, and the expansion teams won't collect TV revenue for the first couple years. I think that's what it'll take.

They didn't debut that colorway and logo until the following season. They played the 1994-95 season in the old green and gold, and rebranded the first season at KeyArena (1995-96).

The fact it's made it this far after everyone said expansion was dead in the water a few months ago is telling. Also, the governor of Washington had a meeting with Silver right before All-Star break, so something has definitely shifted. We wouldn't even be talking about this unless people thought the votes were there.
