Looks like expansion could be happening by the 27-28 season. With that timeline it seems possible they make the announcement before end of the season.

I don't get why the commissioner continues to hem and haw about Seattle coming back. It certainly makes it feel tenuous at best. For a while there it sounded like it was an inevitability, and it's still hard not to feel that way, but boy I tell you what, he's not talking like it is at ALL. Saying the start of any real (but still general) discussions of just expansion at all, would be Spring 2025

Late to respond, but when my spirits suppliers were negotiating arena deals, they demanded a full tour of the facilities, banking on a possible NBA teaming coming down the road. They said they had locker rooms prepared for the NBA to come.
