If we were like NobleKane, maybe we could get along. But we don't have a "my lakers my warriors" mentality.
Seattle sees this as having their Sonics back. RCK has pointed it out numerous times, It's much more than basketball to us. This is the future of Sacramento at stake, to get the same respect and grow into a major city.
If that constitutes a skirt comment, whatever. You don't see things from our vantage point. Losing the Kings isn't just losing "something to do." It's losing a future, losing potential businesses and revenue. It's losing our "something to do" but it's also losing "things we could also do." We don't want to remain the same desolate not ever cracking town.
Nobody has ever said, "I'm going to save up my money for a vacation to Sacramento!"

He's talking about a new arena, for a new downtown, for a new Sacramento, for a new era where Sacramentan's lose the inferiority complex. What are you talking about? Seattle had the Sonics for 41 years. This is more about just getting back the sonics. This is about bringing back the heart and soul of our city.If we were like NobleKane, maybe we could get along. But we don't have a "my lakers my warriors" mentality.

Lightweight your team belongs to Seattle now champ...it's over. It's not like you don't have other sports you can follow. I'm sure there is a local women's softball team in last place that has tons of potential in the next few years.Think of the glass half full. As for your kings, if you are ever in Seattle, hit me up and I'll see if I can hook you up with size medium supersonics hoody or something.
He's talking about a new arena, for a new downtown, for a new Sacramento, for a new era where Sacramentan's lose the inferiority complex.
This is about creating a heart and soul for this city.
I'm not gonna sit here and argue that the Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders are the heart and soul of your city, but again with Hansen/Ballmer in tow, you guys will get your Sonics back and it won't be at the expense of Sacramento.
What in the world would you cry about in our Kings thread?? We're not stealing the Sonics from youI feel empathy for kings fans but this dude has been spewing crap about Seattle throughout this entire thread. It's littered with bitterness and anger that's warranted and understandable but the insults and immaturity I've had enough of. Only right that I retaliate in the same fashion considering this is the SEATTLE SONICS thread. You don't see me in the kings/Okc threads crying like a little girl.
Don't do it Lightweight.... just don't
Hell, I kinda expect Dakid or DMHBS to interject
this is the main thing I'll take out of your responseWell not exactly crying in the kings threads but I'm not in there dissing Sacramento and saying crap unrelated to the topic. I'm not happy that getting our team back comes at the expense of another city but lightweight is getting too slick with his remarks.
What did I ever do to you? lolDon't do it Lightweight.... just don't
Hell, I kinda expect Dakid or DMHBS to interject
Anyway, I'm back from vacay, too tired to talk about any of this. Might sit this one out until April 19th (or whenever the votes are).
I mean like we've been saying, the fight for the Kings is a whole lot more than just keeping a basketball team in town. The way were beefing, i feel like were playing for a championship
The way were beefing, i feel like were playing for a championship
dmbrhs where did you go broski?
For your sanity its best you avoid them, the Sac side of it is just as bad as the Seattle sideI don't even wanna know what people are saying on other forums/Twitter. I'll stick to here, and the news people on Twitter. I read the RealGM boards from time to time, but that's about it. And even those are a dead zone (bot the Sac and resurrected Sonics one).
Damn are those the only tweets you can find, so negative
not one bit of good news for Sac today, they should just give up
I'm sorry but i really think we get the team. If it wasn't Seattle it would be KC or Anaheim :x IMO Sac has shown more than enough to keep the Kings...
if seattle does get the kings i dont think they should be allowed to call them the supersonics. the kings arent the supersonics. the sonics are in oklahoma
tjat be like me having a girlfriend named rose hernandez. we break up and i get a new girlfriend named susan smith. but i call her rose hernandez instead. **** dont even make sense

You're right.
Sacramento isn't going to turn it's back on the Kings the way Seattle did to the Sonics.
Sacramento Kings are going to stay.

Seattle sees this as having their Sonics back. RCK has pointed it out numerous times, It's much more than basketball to us. This is the future of Sacramento at stake, to get the same respect and grow into a major city.

Nobody has ever said, "I'm going to save up my money for a vacation to Sacramento!"
The same people(owners) who want the NBA back in Seattlei keep seen people throw out the idea of a expansion team for seattle. who is going to approve that? people where up in arms when the bobcats came in the leauge and said it was to many teams then so how would adding another one pass?
To nit pick a little....No you don't, because if you did you wouldn't see it as cornyBrother yes I do, but to sit here and now try and get on some moral high ground like your city deserves it more is corny to me. You want to ride for your team cool I dig it. You get butthurt and start calling people stupid and sending shots, naw homie you pulled the back your sun dress up on that one.
What are you talking about? check your own history....if seattle does get the kings i dont think they should be allowed to call them the supersonics. the kings arent the supersonics. the sonics are in oklahoma

I'm not sure what Noble's Lakers or Warriors have to do with this....... And none of us were around when Minneapolis moved the Lakers to LA
Did someone change the Wiki page already?!?!? I might change it back.... They will be the Sacramento Kings until the moving trucks are loaded and en route to Seattle, sorryRochester Royals

Also, are you really comparing Sacramento to Seattle in terms of franchise theft?
The Kings in KC were the 4th team in town. The Royals, Chiefs, Nascar, and Tom Watson drew better than the Kings. But naw, you right, the Rivercats and Stockton Thunder draw better than the Kings here, so clearly we should be cool with the Kings leaving.
Keep hope Nter23 maybe they willYou're right.
Sacramento isn't going to turn it's back on the Kings the way Seattle did to the Sonics.
Sacramento Kings are going to stay.
on a side note... does the city of Sacramento even care anymore???
Like I've said all along, we should give up. Yall have won. Buy your DMC Sonics jersey. The City of Sacramento has waved the while flag. We don't care anymore!
Congrats!
and
What are you basing that question on? Fans have lost passion for the Maloofs. Imagine being in a relationship where you wife is cheating on you for the last 2 years. How would you feel?
Because obviously Seattle has never felt jaded or anger against their owner.

while you were signing those petitions and attending the rallies, in the back of your mind you were thinking this is corny? Ok....Again believe me yes I do, I signed the petitions I went to the rallies when I traveled back to Seattle. Your choosing to believe that no one feels you "pain". For me to feel the struggle I got to understand were the lightweight is coming from and sympathize? Miss me with all thatTo nit pick a little....No you don't, because if you did you wouldn't see it as corny laugh.gif
