Seattle SuperSonics Thread

So will Seattle keep the name, the Kings? Reinstate the Supersonics franchise and strip OKC of any connection they weakly try to have with the Sonics? New jerseys? 8o

Clay said we will get he name back...but the history is forced to be shared I think

:lol how would shared history work?

And if Sac got a team, would they share history with Seattle as well? :rollin

Fam I have no clue :lol but i figured the history is tied to the franchise and its techincally shared...but im speculating :lol

I don't feel sorry for Sacramento at all. They still should be playing in KC/OMA. Karma

Stole the team I should have been watching/rooting for growing up.

But isn't that why OKC rock these:

And not any Sonics throwback jerseys?

the statistical hisotry of the team wasnt tied to the name and colors. Clay had agreed that he wouldnt use it but they have already tied some recent things OKC has done with Seattle's past

Don't tell him to get out. This Thread is about getting the Sonics back to Seattle
You don't know **** either

Is the second-year point guard torn at all about the prospects of playing in Seattle if it meant leaving Sacramento? ”I mean it would (be fun to play back home). But I’m here in Sacramento. I got drafted by the Sacramento Kings and I love it here. So, I can’t speak on going back to Seattle right now.”

I don't have any problems with Sonics fans who bring reputable news and updates because it gives us a clearer picture of whats going on. Clueless ***clowns on the other hand...

That quote basically is him saying he would rather play in seattle but in a professional way. its the same way you tell an employer your current job sucks *** at an interview

Of course he'd rather play in his home town, who wouldn't?

did you read the last page papi

^correct, they're not interested in purchasing the team, but in building an arena at the mall and would want to partner with an investment group who would be charged with bidding on the team.

The JMA team includes Darius Anderson... who introduced Burkle to KJ. So smart money has Burkle as part of the investment group who'd bid on the Kings. All hearsay for now. Nothing concrete whatsoever.

I just had a very knowledgeable Sacramento source tell me that they are "eerily confident" in the Kings' chances of staying

Bruski has been on Sacramento's nuts this entire time... sort of the anti-Ric Bucher

again, large doses of sea salt here.

I should have known better, but all these new breaking stories/tweets that counter the original rumor is starting to bore me. It's essentially just a flurry of publicity after what was probably a few months of behind-the-scenes activity that never made it to the public eye. I'd rather this thing hush again for now and until something is official.

So glad I don't have twitter. I probably would've smashed my computer by now.

I agree. I've always held firm the notion that nobody will actually know anything until the day a press conference convenes. But I provide updates for people who like to speculate. Twitter isn't terrible unless you do hash tag searches. I guarantee Hansen has been talking to the Maloofs for much longer than will ever be reported. we'll just never know.

:lol knowing the maloofs we're gonna have to see more from them than just a press conference :rollin
