SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

What if Russ is playing a certain way to force the organization’s hand to trade him? By no means accusing him of throwing games, but simply just not as invested/tuned in as he was prior.

Might be prisoner of the moment but I don’t remember the last time they had a December so bad…

I don't want to believe Russ isn't giving it his all but hey stranger things have happened. He always talks like a politician in interviews so really hard to get a read on him off the field. He seemed a bit frustrated in that off season interview earlier in the year but he still didn't get that emotional.

Record wise you have to go back to the Jim Mora 09' season when they went 5-11, they went 1-3 that Dec. and also lost the last game in Jan.

News outlets just searching for a storyline like the last two off seasons imo. I expect all the main pieces to be back. Russ & Bobby ain’t going no where.

Cool win here. That handshake from Wilson to the ref felt like a last hurrah handshake :lol

Both this one and the SB INT, I remember just sitting there in absolute disbelief. Didn’t move for like 10 min.

Yea I vividly remember both and was just frozen right there after it happened

Why though? It’s not insane to suggest they move off Bobby at this point. Not endorsing it necessarily but it’s not crazy

It's not insane, if they get good trade value, it probably is the right move. I don't think it's happening though. Again, just media trying to make storylines...

The media? I don’t get it. Are you saying the team is in great shape and so any talk about changes is media construction

Moving my response from NFL thread to here:

Late response, but I think the consensus (among my friends) is Pete has to go. It's a somewhat similar trajectory to Holmgren: brought the team to the highest of highs (at their respective points in team history), continued to make playoff appearances, but eventually their philosophies got outdated, drafted poorly, traded poorly, and they fell off. Holmgren went 4-12 his last season (then Mora 5-11, I think). I think we've reached the end of Carroll's run.

The Wilson situation is more tenuous. He's not the same player anymore. Teams aren't afraid of him. He doesn't run, and his line continues to suck, so they can blitz at will or just lay back in coverage. They can't get as much as they could have a year ago.

Harbaugh burns out. I'm shocked he's been at Michigan this long. But, at this point, why not take a shot? Who else are they going to hire? The pool is thin, especially when it's all retreads.

They're 6-10, obviously they're not in great shape. I'm saying Bobby isn't the problem though, but if you can get something for him and improve, then you make that move.
