Slaton, excuse me, Kool Aid.. at 9?

laugh.gif

And Woodson can be a steal for a team needing a QB that late

Just IMO but no way in hell Cincy passes on shoring up their defense or Oline to pick a RB that high, no chance.

And Im seeing Brohm's name so many times penciled in for Atlanta that you just know he won't be picked by them
laugh.gif

I pray the Eagles pick a god damn reciever, i dont even care if he is a bust (well I do) but pick something you are really missing b/c as long as Reid is herewe won't ever go sign a bonafide #1

This is horrible... Cason at 8?!!
sick.gif

*that's not my extreme hate for U of A talking, he just is not a top flight corner and the combine will tell us that
wink.gif

Slaton at 9??? Ugh, I'm going to stop here, pretty much I dislike this version.

Damn, My "Boring+%%@ MNF Game Mock draft" was better then this
smh.gif

word to not being on my own sack, but it was ...
grin.gif

2 second rounders and we come out with Alex Boone and Ray Rice? Please don't let Miami personnel guys read this, they'll try to follow it to a T.

mcfadden to new england. i figured the pats would be all over this rb. now all we need is the 49ers to finish tanking the rest of the games

This mock is terrible. Two teams I know well, Cincy and Pittsburgh are completely wrong. Cincy will not pick ANOTHER RB early (Marvin would be roasted on thespot, plus they will cut Rudi since they have TOO MANY ALREADY). And Pittsburgh needs to fortify their front 3? Are you kidding? Pittsburgh needs = O-line,DB, WR. Terrible. An NT mock would be better

^^^^^^^
you may want to rethink the front 3 as far as the draft goes. aaron smith is lost for the year.

So the draft next year will help the Steelers have a player in the front 3? Steelers have two capable backups and the injury is not career threatning. There isno chance of the Steelers picking a DE, it is not a huge need right now

34. NY Jets
The Pick: Earl Bennett*, WR, Vanderbilt
The Buzz: The Jets offense needs another deep threat to open up the passing game.

That$+@!@! ain't a deep threat. HAHAHAHA

that mock draft sucks ... here you go, something a little better ... but as you can see, they havent takin petrino leaving atlanta into the equation

2008 NFL Mock Draft
By: Robert Davis | Updated: 11/28

1. Miami - Glenn Dorsey DT LSU
The Dolphins are in need of a talent overhaul. Aside from the RB position, they can take the best player available. That is Dorsey. He is a force from hisinterior line position and would be a great pick here.

2. New England (SF) - Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas
The Patriots come out looking good after last years draft day trade with the 9ers. The most likely scenario is trading down, but if they do pick, McFaddenwould be sick in the Pats offense. Maroney is a good young back, but he has been injury prone to this date and McFadden is a special talent.

3. St. Louis - Calais Campbell DE Miami
The Rams need playmakers on defense. Dorsey is their first target, but he is gone so they take the next best option. Campbell may have the most upside of anylineman in the draft.

4. Oakland - Jake Long OT Michigan
The Raiders could not hope for things to shape up better. They need serious help at OT and they land the best in the draft.

5. New York Jets - Chris Long DE Virginia
Long's big senior season has pushed him into Top 10 consideration. If the draft shakes out this way, Long makes the most sense for the Jets.

6. Cincinnati - James Laurinitis LB Ohio St.
This may be a tad high for Laurinitis but the Bengals need defensive help badly. Laurinitis gives them talent, leadership, and addresses a poor linebackingunit.

7. Atlanta - Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville
The top three QB's could go in any order. The one thing Ryan and Woodson cannot match is the experience and familiarity Brohm and Petrino have from theirdays together in college. The experience in the offense gives Brohm the edge.

8. New Orleans - Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio St.
The Saints pass defense is still poor, so they take Jenkins to try and solve the problem. Jenkins has the all around talent to warrant this pick, and Ohio Sthas done a terrific job producing top notch corners over the years.

9. Baltimore - Ryan Clady OT Boise St.
Jonathan Ogden is not getting any younger, and landing a bookend tackle like Clady is an opportunity that does not come along every year. If Jenkins is on theboard he would be tough to pass on, but if he's gone, Clady looks like the next best option.

10. Kansas City - Matt Ryan QB Boston College
The Chiefs have a chance to take a tackle like Cherilus or Baker but Ryan is too good to pass on at this point. Ryan has the toughness and intangibles to playright away and give the Chiefs a long term solution at QB.

11. Minnesota - Andre Woodson, QB, Kentucky
Tarvaris Jackson has the talent but he will need a strong close to the season to give the staff confidence in his future as the QB. If his up and down playcontinues, the Vikings may have no choice to take a QB at this point.

12. Carolina - Kenny Phillips S Miami
Phillips is about as good a safety prospect as you can find and for a team needing help in the secondary, he is a great fit. The Panthers are elated that he isstill around and he could help out at either safety spot.

13. Chicago - Sam Baker OT USC
If the Bears end up selecting this high, and two of the QB's make it out of the Top 10, they will almost certainly move up for one. QB is by far theirbiggest need and the team will not take a step up until they address that spot. With all the QB's gone at this point, they look for youth on the line toshore up that area before they nab their QB.

14. Arizona - Sedrick Ellis DT USC
The Cards have put together some nice talent on the offensive side of the ball, though the offensive line could use more work. Landing a stud interiordefensive lineman would be an excellent addition to the Cards.

15. Houston - Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon
A wideout opposite Andre Johnson is a big need, but the ground game needs work. Ahman Green cannot be counted on and Stewart's all around ability would bean excellent fit in Houston.

16. Buffalo - Antoine Cason CB Arizona
Cason may not have the best physical skills among the top corners, but he plays as well as any of them on game day. OT, DT, and corner are big needs and Casonis the best available at those positions here.

17. Denver - Frank Okam DT Texas
The Broncos seemingly need defensive lineman every year, and this year is no different. Last year they took a playmaking end, now they take a big body on theinside.

18. San Diego - Reggie Smith S Oklahoma
Although Smith may project to corner for a lot of teams, the Chargers take him with the idea of him being a ballhawk at FS and upgrading their secondary. Smithwould give them tremendous flexibility in coverage and he could be a standout at either position.

19. Philadelphia - Gosder Cherilus OT Boston College
Cherilus is the ideal right tackle prospect and would step in from Day One.

20. Washington - Vernon Gholston DE Ohio St.
The Skins are always looking to land a big time lineman and they hope Gholston can end the search. He is a playmaker off the edge and could finally give theman impact DE.

21. Seattle - Fred Davis TE USC
Davis has emerged as arguably the top two way threat at TE. He is a solid blocker, but he is a real threat as a receiver which gets him taken this high. TheSeahawks could use a bigger threat over the middle to balance the offense out and Davis can do just that.

22. Dallas (Cle) - Felix Jones RB Arkansas
Jerry Jones has a mancrush on Darren McFadden but if he cannot get up to take him, he'll take his backfield mate. Jones is an excellent back in his ownright, and with Julius Jones set for free agency, they nab a back to pair with Marion Barber to keep the offense as explosive as it can be.

23. Tampa Bay - DeSean Jackson WR Cal
Jackson may go higher but he would bring a lot of talent and explosiveness to the Bucs offense. His big play ability on special teams and as a wideout make himone of the most versatile talents in the draft.

24. Tennessee - Limas Sweed WR Texas
Vince Young has taken a step back this year, but that could be due to a lack of talent at WR. Sweed has the size, talent and even played with VY in college todevelop into a real factor for the Titans.

25. Detroit - Quentin Groves DE Auburn
Groves' pass rush ability should get him taken higher but if he is still available the Lions add a nice piece to their defense. They wanted Gaines Adamslast year, but they get their playmaking end this year instead.

26. Pittsburgh - Justin King CB Penn St.
King has as much upside as any corner in the draft, he is just short on experience. If he stays for his senior year, he is a potential top 10 pick. His talentthough would get him taken in the first round this year, and the Steelers would love to add a playmaking corner to their secondary.

27. Jacksonville - Dan Connor LB Penn St.
Connor has the attitude that will make Jack Del Rio a fan, and his versatility would help shuffle the pieces at linebacker together. He can play inside or outand that type of versatility can only help a defense.

28. New York Giants - Keith Rivers LB USC
Rivers speed and athleticism on the weakside would be a welcomed addition to the Giants linebacking core.

29. San Francisco (Ind) - Derrick Harvey DE/OLB Florida
The 9ers could use a go to receiver, and Malcolm Kelly would be enticing if he is on the board here. The 9ers need to address their pass rush however, andHarvey gets the nod because of his upside in this area.

30. Green Bay - Steve Slaton RB West Virginia
Ryan Grant has done a nice job being a dependable ball carrier, but he is not a gamebreaker. Pairing a home run hitter like Slaton with Grant would be a bigboost to the offense.

31. Dallas - Mike Jenkins CB South Florida
The Cowboys could be a threat to package both of their #1s to move up for McFadden but in this scenario they got their back earlier and now look to help outthe secondary. Jenkins would improve the corner position, and allow Anthony Henry to take over at free safety.

32. New England - forfeited

*that's not my extreme hate for U of A talking, he just is not a top flight corner and the combine will tell us that
wink.gif

I don't know if you were being sarcastic or not but how would the combine show that he isn't a top flight corner? Because he may run a4.45 instead of a 4.3? I would think that maybe his play on the field and winning the Thorpe award as the nation's best DB may have shown otherwise...

If the Pats end up getting McFadden that would be insane.
