Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

How did he handle it proper?

He's saying one thing on camera, and then acting like it's no big deal and wondering what's the other persons problem.

tekashi never came at cas personally

cas makes set trippin and by his own admission on joes new show he lets it be ambiguous whether or not its aimed at 69 so it can do metrics

tekashi dms him asking if theres a problem

cas acts like he’s baiting him when he was the first to disrespect

Im not seeing what tekashi did wrong aside from him generally doing too much to where set trippin could be interpreted to be about him...he did nothing specifically to cas

He did

How did he disrespect him when the song wasn't about him. Rap is based around subliminals.

Just like Turkey69 can say he's the King of New York and **** on other new artist coming up, but they aren't supposed to respond or take it personal, right?

It's all part of the plan for wypipo to take over rap. It's happening. Keep supporting these very ignorant and dumb rap songs and allowing white rappers in the game. It's inevitable. They're gonna run it with their own artists.

They're trying to make it safe and comforting to one crowd (pushing white artists and safe artists to the masses) while showing them how dumb and ignorant the other side is (Kodak, Future and whatever other trash wavycrocket wavycrocket listens to)

He don’t control the artist I listen to. Maybe the ones YOU listen too...

Bruh the music industry on a whole is controlled by extremely powerful Jews. Media conglomerates as a whole has decreased from 30 or so different companies till like 3 mega corporations all owned by the same people in the last twenty years.. We all have the opportunity to pick and choose who we listen to but in a grand scheme of things that means absolutely nothing if nonsense is shoved down the throats of the masses and impressionables. You remember how many positive black sitcoms were on network television growing up ? Different types of rap that charted ? Or when you made a trip to visit your family in a different state and the music on the radio was entirely different from what was played in your hometown ? All that **** is a dub now cause these major media conglomerates all wiped that out.

It’s actually a big thing for Atlantic right now too. They’re ready to throw bags at people with big social media followings that aren’t black. My mans took a meeting with them for one of his artists and basically had that laid out to him. He’s Hispanic but looks white.

Fam...that's Lucian Grainge. He's the most powerful exec in music. I'm willing to bet good money he signs the checks of more than a few people you listen to.

Grainge runs Universal Music Group. These are the labels under UMG:

Interscope
Geffen
Capitol
Republic
Island
Def Jam
Caroline

That **** ain't right, Lucian is cool
But Lucian don't write, Doug ain't this tight
So **** what we sellin', **** is we makin'?
'Cause their grass is greener 'cause they always rakin' in more

Dude said some real **** all across 4:44

This is exactly what wavycrocket wavycrocket was alluding to when Ralo got locked up

"Fear for you, bro, we know the system don't work
Take a young ***** freedom over some dirt
Yet it's legal in Colorado, yet, we deny
Black entrepreneurs, free enterprise
That's why it's a black market, that's why it's called the trap
That's why it's called the projects 'cause it's exactly that"

Rap will never be taken over. Yall are still letting social media fool yall regarding all the f**** **** that goes on.

If the fear is that they've been flooding mainstream/commercial rap with nonsense they've been doing that for the past 10 years steady.

Making way for trash white rappers to be the most popular in mainstream hip hop will be easy to do given the fans and more importantly consumers of hip hop music have been mostly white for the past 20 years.
